Yeah, it would be great if the waving line problem could be resolved! But first of all, isn't it in the nature of passive matrix screens to exhibit such ripple effects? LMK. Bump for a good problem to revolve! :)

Ok, my bad; I asked my co-worker again; here are the facts: GSM is indeed an older technology than CDMA. However, companies like AT&T and Cingular, coming from TDMA originally, must transition from TDMA to GSM first before being able to implement 3G. This is why GSM is not going away anytime...

How important is match cpus for a dual sys?

Matching the stepping is recommended; HOWEVER, the stepping code DOES NOT NEED TO MATCH (ie SL3XX), AS LONG AS THE CORE STEPPING IS THE SAME (cb0 and cb0). Even if the stepping is not the same, you will rarely run into problems (it might happen, but I have never had a problem myself). I've...

1.4 T-bird won't work on EPoX 8K7A

Make sure your multiplier adjust switches are all off, or they are set to 10.5x Also, you need a good power supply for the higher speed t-birds, but even with a bad PSU, the cpu should be able to post and make it to Windows.

Will the Athlon 4/Palamino run in DFI AK76-SN? NT

DFI released a new Bios last week stating it will identify the Morgan chip properly with it. Can't really confirm, but if Epox and Gigabyte have support for it, don't think DFI wouldn't.

DFI AK76-SN: what is the proc voltage range?

Dunno about the minimum, but the max voltage is "unfortunately" 1.85V, like most other DDR mobos (excluding Epox). Of course, you can mod most of these mobos to support higher voltages.

Well, I don't know about mobos, but I did buy a "refurbished" Video Card, and believe me, it was brand new. Probably someone who just returned it for one reason or another. I believe they have a 30 day warranty anyway, plus a manufacturer warranty. If the mobo appears more or less...

RR in Binghamton, NY (Upstate) does give a student discount for cable modem now! I think they stroke a deal with Binghamton University, but I am not too sure.

Abit BE6-II..how do i boot off IDE3 in W2k

I think you need to install the High Point ATA66 drivers (make a floppy) during the installation process of Win2k (Press F6 for additional drivers...) . I also think the installation files (during the copying process) should not be on that same drive, but on a drive that is not hooked on the...

Mistakenly flashed BH6 ver 1.02 with ver 1.1 bios...NOW it won't recognize CEL633 FC-PGA!

Also, I think there are /switch commands to force a flash with an "incorrect" binary, so do some research on Award Bios Flashers... Can anyone help this member?

Thanks for the info guys! I don't know if you've ever tried, but if you have your DVD-ROM connected to the same IDE channel as your burner, chances are you will run into buffer under run within a few seconds while you watch a movie. Now, don't ask why would you ever want to connect your dvd...
