BIOS not retaining information

I already replaced the battery. I bought CR2032 3V battery, the same specs like the original one, but that didn't solve my problem. I think I will have to check the voltage of the new battery.

It's not my computer. I just help build it. I can't remember the exact BIOS error. I think it's a checkum error. When I enter in BIOS all settings (time, date, ...) are reset and I have to adjust the settings. I can post more information tomorrow when I will have access to the computer.

Forgive my ignorance but does Steam on Linux allow playing Windows games? Is there any AAA title game for Linux?

This is why Linux will never take over the desktop...

It's not the OS, it's the software. Until software like Photoshop, Autocad, games, even Office, etc. will not be available on Linux platform, Linux will stay a niche OS.

A dumb cable question about DP cables

Hi, I just wanted to know if there is any difference between DP to mini DP cables and DP to DP cables. I bought a Dell U2417H which has included a DP to mini DP cable, but I also have a spare DP to DP cable. Which one should I use? Is there any difference? Thanks for you patience, Mtj
