Milestone makers for yesterday, December 17th
In number not that much, but the pace at which the milestones are being broken is great.
Congrats to all MM'ers. :P
Thx for the stats TallBill. :D
I'll try to report the milestone makers, when there are for that day. ;)
Welcome to SoB PetrusBroder. It's nice to see you with us. Thx for the addition. :P
The complete wu in SoB last for about one month or 30 days. The modern boxes are crunching on one wu about 5 days, as SpaceHead said. :D
So there is plenty of time to get through one wu in time. ;)
You also have another milestone: :P
According to your personal stats on Free-DC within...
I think Enigma would be a good choice for ya. AFAIK the wu there are about two-three hours. It also has some very active TA-members, like SAK, Phillippart, NWM, Danzigrules and others.
You'll be in good company there. :P
And, if your looking for a good project, that has only a very short runtime (two-three months) and where TA has the top daily output overall with a chance of becoming the #1 before the project ends, I would recommend Enigma indeed.
It is a fun project and has a lot of history value to it.
:D hehe, here is a link to wikipedia that explains it on hopefully an easier way.
It is a project that is trying to discover mathematical numbers, that have a special form or can only be formed by using a special formula. The numbers searched for by SoB are so called Sierpinski numbers...
Well we could use your help in SoB. :D We are about to pass FreeDC in little more than a week at this pace. You would sure make a difference and help us into getting the #3 spot a day earlier.
The link to their home page. :P
and
the link to their download page.
and
the link to the...
Ofcourse I remember you. :P How can I forget the Big Narz. ;)
BTW I saw you have an account in SoB, but haven't crunched awhile overthere. We could use your help just a little to catch the FreeDC Team. :P
Thanks, Crazee! It's good to be back in here. It feels like a warm blanket. ;)
Only...
Let's hear it for our milestone makers of December 15th:
and for our milestone makers of yesterday:
This is the spirit! :)
In the last 7 days we have 30 members working on the SoB project. :P Love it.
I was just on the DPC-forum and found this thread.
You can't read it, because it is in dutch, but there are some things they say like:
and
that gives me the feeling they are saving up for some big dump somewhere in the beginning of the new year.
sparren = normally a tree, but...
Great, I'm looking forward to getting up to speed. Time to start emailing some friends if they are interested in running a little program called SoB client. :P
EDIT:
In my enthusiasm I completely forgot this:
THX TALLBILL FOR THE STATS.
Maybe this thread can help?
Will keep looking for some kind of solution also.
Here is another.
And a list of so-called buddy-servers for those who have connection problems to the main servers.
And a solution for solaris trouble with the proxy, but don't know if this gives some clue...
Well, we are already attacking on multiple fronts. :P
There is SoB, Enigma and the Folding race. ;)
Not bad for just a bunch of people, scattered around the world only bound together by the TA-forum. :D
Distributed.net is still running the OGR (Optimal Golomb Ruler) project. That is where the most power of their members is going to atm.
OGR is some mathematical project. ;)
I think they are keeping all the machinery up for that one and hope the RC5-72 people are going to step over to the OGR...
Congrats to that achievement. Here is a  (or a glass of :wine: if you prefer). I couldn't find that "cuppa Tea" in the Emoticons. :P
BTW, IJump is coming to help you guys in getting to the #1 spot.
Here you can read his coming participation in Enigma. :D
EDIT: Typo :P
I wish I had that output (190T) for raysun2be every day. ;)
But he, that 20T is a nice dump too. :D
I've a queue running for raysun2be overhere, where some machines are dumping their results to. It is scheduled to dump its load every two weeks on sunday now, so not coming sunday but the...
As we told earlier in PM, but now in the open ;) I think the Enigma project could use your help. Our TA-guys are already the biggest producing team right now, but it will take them about two-three months to take the #1 spot at this pace. If you can speed them up a bit, then there is a chance...
Congrats, IJump. :D
When are you going to dump that last 190T you have in store? ;)
Thx TallBill. These messages are what we all need.
And ofcourse let's not forget all the 'small' contributors of our TeAm. Without them, we would need another 6 months or so to pass FreeDC. Thx to...
And the gap between us and TG in daily production is getting smaller. :D
Amongst all others, this is mainly because of your efforts, IJump and ofcourse our beloved shmapty. :P
Two or three more of you and we would be unstoppable.
Thanx for the every day better looking stats, TallBill!!! :D
Thx TallBill
Congrats to raysun2be for rising a place in both the team stats and in overall position.
Love to ride with you in the back of you Red Rascal. ;)
The difference with Free-DC is now only some 230T and shrinking rapidly. :D
Am already looking eagerly to some boxes of some...
Thx for the stats, TallBill. Looks good everytime. You're making me happy. :D
Am glad to see shmapty is back on track. :D
IJump is getting into the SoB race also rather quickly. ;)
Am confident he has some more surprises up his very long sleeves.
If we can keep up witht this rate, the...
Congrats on that milestone
Now I challenge you to add another zero behind that. :P To make it even more challenging I give you the same 5.5 years as it took to get to the first M. :D
This is already looking much better, and we're only two days later. :D
