We've had IGN and Kotaku for years now. There's nowhere to go but up.
If you visit traditional gaming websites but not Youtube channels like NorthernLion, Total Biscuit, and Two Best Friends Play, you're doing it wrong. I think the last SBFC podcast summed it up pretty well: the sad thing about...
The gaming press declares that gamers are dead. But they are the ones who are becoming obsolete.
Didn't want to make a new topic just for this, so I'm just posting it here.
Yeah this is one of two kickstarter projects that I got burned on.
This game has zero soul. It's a bland mess with a poor user interface. It doesn't compare favorably with either Total Annihilation or Supreme Commander. In fact I enjoyed the much-maligned Supreme Commander 2 more than this PoS...
I saw that yesterday, looks sweet. I never played the original.
BTW, when is Legend of Grimrock 2 coming out? Loved that game.
EDIT: I just looked on LoG's website and apparently they just entered beta a week ago.
I really liked the beginning of Prey but it got really repetitive towards the end. Had TONS of fun with the multiplayer demo on the 360, though.
Zing! The recent Elder Scrolls/Fallout titles use one of the worst game engines I've seen in AAA gaming.
How to replicate:
1. Click either "Post Reply" on the bottom left or "Go Advanced" underneath the quick reply textbox.
2. I'm taken to a reply page with a full editor and a list of previous posts listed underneath.
3. These posts do not have any quote buttons.
Therefore "advanced" mode is...
Which places? You were referring to Reddit earlier, and I attested to the fact that none of the Reddit posts that I read contained personal information, yet were deleted anyway.
What does that mean? People attacking TB because he criticized Zoe, or because he didn't go far enough?
In any case...
Strawman arguments aren't gonna work on me. I don't care what the guy in the OP's video says, since I didn't watch it and is irrelevant to the issue at hand. Even if the video's author were Hitler himself, it doesn't make Zoe any better. Two wrongs don't make a right.
Your guess is wrong. All...
I don't think he ever actually reviewed the game himself. He did single it and two other games out (thrice them out?) from a list of 50 greenlit games:

But yeah, conflict of interest and all that.
She's a game developer that has a product up on Steam. Her involvement in this is absolutely relevant to PC Gaming.
I do agree that the bigger issue is videogame "journalism" in general, but Zoe's actions should not be regarded as off-topic.
No, I'm pretty sure if EA started sending reviewers hookers people would get pissed. Let's not pretend what the developer did is even remotely ok.
EDIT: and before you say "but developers give reviewers gifts/etc. all the time" yeah, and that's the reason game "critics" can't be taken...
I second this.
Even by videogame beta standards, it's pretty rough. Like, more so than MWO, if you're unlucky enough to know what I'm talking about.
They're planning on releasing around December. I don't think Uber can turn it into a solid game by then.
I held the same opinion when I first played PS2. But now that I've played it more and have a better grasp of the tactics and strategies involved I'm far more likely to play a crucial part in the outcome of a battle. Things like destroying a sunderer, flanking a group of enemies, destroying a...
Once you get over the initial grind/confusion, PS2 is a better FPS than BF3. Both seem to have sacrificed solid gunplay mechanics for sheer scale, and PS2's scale is much greater. There's also a much greater, more frequent sense of teamwork in PS2.
$10 isn't a lot to lose even if you end up...
A post like that should constitute an automatic ban.
That falls under our purview. In the future use the Report Post function; meta commentary on other posters is not what this forum is for.

The latest revision of the G400 does not have angle snapping/prediction, and is supposedly a really great mouse. I ordered one from Amazon yesterday, I think all G400's that you can buy now are prediction-less.
Well, the problem was really simple, and really stupid. The CPU fan was hitting not one but TWO cables. One of them was a big power cable which downright stopped it from moving when this happened. The other was, as Kenmitch suggested, the fan cable which came coiled too tightly around the fan...
Hello all,
I'm in the process of putting together a PC for the first time. A few bits of background info: I'm running the i7 with the stock cooler and on stock settings (no overclocking). I've connected the CPU fan to the CPU_fan connector.
Last night I finally had everything set up, so I...
