Raid 0 failure

I did a raid 0.....and now i'm gonna lose some stuff...not...important...those I keep on an external HD....just friggin GRAw....hate to start all over again.....so..methinks raid 1...after all.....160gb....for a gaming machine...is plenty...shit..i've had 2 120gb raid 0 for 2 yrs now...haven't...

Raid 0 failure

Have a raid 0....dual boot xp and vista...raid failure, get the little window that says raid disk failure...and in nvidia monitor says one of the drives is failing. Can boot to Vista, but not to xp. They are 2 hitachi 120gb. Have 6 partitions....xp, vista, programs, personal stuff (pics etc)...

5.1 headphones

want to get 5.1 headphones for gaming. I currently use the alc850 onboard sound. Also have a audigy sound card (not installed). How can I utilize the both the onboard and audigy card for speakers + headphones without rebooting constantly?

could I load XP Pro on her macbook? Absolutely. And you can have it installed either natively (using Boot Camp to split the drive) or virtually (using VMWare Fusion or Parallels to install it within OS X) I for example have Vista installed natively, but i can virtualize that native...

E6300 idling at 60 - HELP!

Funny, I have the E6600, and with the Ultra 120, @ load (orthos for about an hour), I was in the mid 60s, idle I was in the mid 50s. I"m at 3.14 with 1.375v. Same problem as him. I went back to zalman 9500 (the ultra 120 was hitting the northbridge chipset hs), and still have the same temps...

I really appreciate all the help you all are doing..... i o'c yesterday to 3.1, and my temps were idle 57.....load.....66...that is with an Ultra 120 cooler.....at no overclocking my temps are 47 idle, 56 load....the temps scared me..... I took off the side panel, and the temps didn't...

This is probably said before but....I have never overclocked, but with the system i bought, why not. I have gone to 2.8 on the cpu, and that is it so far. Haven't touched ram, or voltages. My question is: what do I do with ram. I don't wanna fry anything, I mean, how much noticable is all this...

Since I can't sli my 2 6800gt's, on this new board, i'm forced (ahem) to go to an 8800GTX. My question is (and i don't over clock, the last thing I overclocked was my Seiko watch) the regular 8800gtx, or the acs3, and I will probably sli them down the road. Appreciate any input.

Installed the board 2 weeks ago. No sli, flashed bios to P24, back to P23. Nothing. Rma'd the board. Just put in the new one. Same problem. Board seems fine, just can't get SLI to work. tried 93.71...91.31...back to 84.21....nothing. Funny, when I unstall 93.71 says have sli capable, click this...

Upgrading rig

Getting the evga 680i, Intel E6600, 2 gigs ddr2 1066. Have a BFG 650 w psu. Will the 2 6800gt's in sli work better with this, or should I upgrade to an 8800GTX. AND, if upgrading to 8800GTX, with the psu work?

Want to build a new system

Looking to change, am starting to lag a little. Thinking of the Intel E6600 (from what i've read with regards to AMD"s AM2). So, not sure which mobo. Will keep the existing sli 6800Gt, cuz the direct x10 is around the corner, or so i'm told. any thoughts?

cooling 2 6800gt in sli

i have a gigabyte 6800gt (heatpipe one) and an asus extreme 6800gt on an asus A8N -sli deluxe. Anyone have a similar setup, and cooled the video cards without too much of a hassel. I was wondering if the zalman vf 700 would fit in the case on both cards

slave won't work i think????

Put in 2 new opticals, a new toshiba dvd rom, and nec dvd rw. All of a sudden the ide slave won't work, i flipped flopped both, put the toshiba alone on master and slave, it worked, put the nec on slave and master and it is fine, however when i put both in either one as master and slave...

There is no way to put a temp probe on this heatsink, I called Zalman Tech support, and the guy said to put it between the heatsink and processor. what are anyone's thoughts on this thanks

IDE slave not working

Switch everything from old case to the new NZXT Lexa, and for some reason the 2nd dvd isn't working. It powers on, but when i put in a cd (game) it asks for the cd. The system (device mgr, my computer etc) recognizes it. For instance if i go to my computer, there the dvd rom (it has a game cd in...

zalman cnps7700

Anyone have any idea where to put the cpu temp probe on the zalman cnps7700. Seems the heatsink has only two open sides, and no room (screw heads in the way). I broke 2 probes trying. Another thing, the fanmate2 broke after one day, so i hooked it up direct to the cpu fan control on the mobo...

I just added an Asus extreme 6800gt to sli, and a dell 2405 fpw. Gaming was absolutely incredible @ 1900x1200 btw. Before the SLI setup, the case temp probe on the cpu was around 51 degrees @ load. Now with 2 cards it jumped to 61-65@load, is this normal? I have a titanium case with 2 90mm side...

Upgrading to SLI

Have a gigabyte 6800GT, can't find another, with nvidas new 80 drivers should be able to get say, an Asus 6800Gt and mix and match. Anyone do this yet, any probs?

Thinking of upgrading. Would like to keep the 6800GT and get another to SLI, or can get a "ONE" 7800GTX. Want to go to a dell 24" widescreen (not sure if gaming is ok for widescreen). Any thoughts?

A8n SLI Deluxe bios 1014

i have the 6.66 (hate that #) chipset drivers from nvidia's site, just did the ez flash (hit alt f2) and d/l he 1014. [first time i ever flashed bios] did it because i went from a ga-k8nxp and far cry played flawlessly, to the asus a8n deluxe (have to rma the gigabyte the ps/2 isn't working) and...

i have an A8N-sli deluxe, and still have the 1004 bios. Is it necessary to upgrade the bios? and if i have to, incrementally, or right to the 1014? not sure what to do
