Good thing I'm not planning to use dual HDMI outputs. Though they definitely need to work on frame pacing in general.
I'm still of the opinion that Eyefinity is superior technology compared to Nvidia surround. Has anything changed in regards to that? Has Nvidia stepped up there game with...
Good to hear, this might be a good option for me as the 7970's are pretty cheap used. The real question remains how the 290x pans out but It would be quite expensive to buy two of those at $750 per.
What size of power supply are you running your two 7970's? Right now I have a corsair 750w.
I was looking at that or one of the ROG boards. I'm really liking ASUS for the current generation. They've really put a lot of work into their motherboards.
The monitors I ordered have display port so I don't think I need an active adapter. Through I do have one from when I did eyefinity with dual 5870's on 3x1920x1200. I already run my games on a single 2560x1440 screen(yamakazi) and I agree that you don't need AA, everything I play now looks...
They have options available that let you eat for cheap. They like any smart business try and get you to buy the expensive items on the menu with clever advertisements.
you can choose to spend a lot at McDonalds if you like to stuff your face.
You could get a McDouble, small coffee and a...
I'm not in a huge rush, so yes maybe I shall bide my time and see how this plays out. See how bad it is running on my 7970 when the monitors arrive.
Thanks for the advice guys.
On a somewhat related topic. I bought three of these monitors, same type of panel but one has only a single type of input and supposedly better input lag. Will higher input lag on the monitors on the left and right cause the middle one to effectively have the same level of input lag?
It sounds like I may need to wait for some actual benchmarks on the R9-290X to be released to understand how many of them are required for this type of eyefinity configuration.
Okay guys I've gone an ordered two more 27" 2560x1440 monitors for a grand total of three. Planning on setting up all three in potrait mode eyefinity.
Now I need to build a new machine to run this beastly monitor config. I would like most games to stay above 30FPS. I'm playing lots of Civ...
Well Gabe hates the number three so they are actually going to announce Team Fortress 4, Left 4 Dead, and Half Life 4. It'll be a new thing like 13th floors.
I could specify more accurately that I was disappointed that the original nexus 7 didn't get any cool features that would allow it to screencast or have video out via its usb port and that I feel that it was "stupid" to design it that way. I think the new model has addressed this issue. Also...
I have a Seagate 3TB that refuses to detect in BIOS. So I set the the sata mode to IDE and IDE timeout to 30 seconds and after around 20 seconds it detects. Not very usable in this state, haven't been able to actually copy data from it as in Windows it doesn't show up and disk manager locks...
The real important number that isn't on this chart is the number of employees per store. Though Costco may pay better, they employee less people to move X amount of goods through their supply chain and stores.
Costco only has roughly 358 employees per store it operates where Walmart has 477...
The real problem is the glut of unmotivated workers that are too happy with minimum wage to do anything about it other than complain that they don't get paid as well as their buddy who found a better job. Society has no place proping up people who are unwilling to do anything to help themself...
Getting paid well is not a right. It is an exchange of your time for money and the rate of exchange is governed by the value of that time. If you have spent time learning a trade or other business skill you can demand a fair wage. I'm sick of this living wage bullshit, people should use the...
This thread has officially ruined my appetite. Someone should start a thread of things to read that will destroy craving for food and title it AT weight loss program.
Yeah synthesized natural flavours are more likely, wait a minute... wouldn't that be called artificial flavours? Or perhaps this is a new technology fuelled loophole. If you make a chemical soup that is essentially the same thing as a natural chemical soup you can label it a natural flavour.
But just think how much you would need to pay someone to skillfully extract beaver juice without killing it because presumably your are just farming the juice and it's not like you can just suck it out of a nipple like a cow.
Can you imagine a room full beavers all hooked up to complex...
Well the power source is not optional. It requires power over USB, wether you plug that USB into a USB A/C adapter or to a TV or other device that has USB ports is the only option.
Yeah it obviously doesn't happen to everyone but for those of us that it does it really sucks : (
To not be entirely negative post guy, I should mention that Plex was amazing for serving content netflix style to my phone and tablet over 3G/4G/LTE networks or the wifi at work. I was very...
I love the idea of Plex but they need to fix some issues.
1. Plex on some networks causes mini network storms which causes lag on the WAN connection. Myself as well as many others have seen random pings jump from 25ms to >10,000ms for no reason. Turn off plex server, lag goes away. So...
I've been mining on a 7970 and two 5870's for 6 months with no issues. I had a bit of stability problems but I just added a couple more case fans and I've had 100% hardware uptime. Had some network issues but that was just on the mining pool end of things.
I use both and both have problems. There is no winner but there are two pretty decent products that I don't mind. No sense getting in a huff over which one is better.
The only leg up I see in a direction is Chrome since google released Chromecast and it is bloody amazing. I really wish...
Hey guys, I bought a Focus 2012 Titanium last August with DCT. As someone who generally does not often drive manual transmission vehicles I have to say that I kind of like how it sounds/feels when shifting especially when in the "sport mode". The only time I find it feels off is when I'm in...
My initial thought is that just because a game is popular does not qualify it for a list of the best games ever made.
Skyrim is awesome and really popular but I think Morrowind was the best of the series because it was more of a fresh concept.
