In the simulation lab LACP with STP sim 2, it is asked to configure VTP mode of switchB same as switchA. But it is configured in the transparent mode. also Vlans have been asked to be created on SwB but are created on SwA.. can sm1 please clarify. Thanks in advance :)

Dump is valid.Passed yesterday wt 901 points. on the MLS&EIGRP 2 simulations I couldnt pind the server regardless of the correct commands i put. TIP. Once u know that yo cmds are correct like from this dump.just move on I spent 30 mins trying to figure out I couldnt ping the server but I still coulnt find out why.then On the LACP with STP sim 2 i kept on popping the native vlan 98 mismatch thing.even after trying to remove it.i decided to move on .on one of the switches "encapsulation dot1q" will not be assigned bcoz the ios has dot1q by default but on the other switch u must assign it.Remember to master the material first b4 u go for dumbs its for yo own good.Havew agood foundation first. It will save yo job n IT Career.Good Luck all.

Just passed today 24/10/2012 with a score of 923. Both Glop and Boomish still 100% valid. 6 DnD, 6 HSRP hot spot, the labs are the usual MLS and EIGRPsim2, LACP sim 2 and AAA DOT1X.In all I have 43 questions in the exams. See you in TSHOOT to finish my CCNP journey.

I'm a little bit confused with MLS with EIGRP SIM2. Where should we configure VLANS 21, 22 and 23? The question is asking that we need to configure these VLANS in Switch B but you will notice in the answer that these VLANS are created in Switch A. The answers in GLOP and Boomish are the same. Asking help from those who already passed the test. Are we going to just follow the answer? Thanks.

The question stated you need SWA to be the root switch for vlans 11, 12, 13, 21, 22 and 23. All other vlans should be left are their default values.
I would have think that the answer should be
SwitchA(config)# spanning-tree vlan 11-13,21-23 root primary
and not
SwitchA(config)# spanning-tree vlan 1,11-13,21-23,99 root primary. And secondly what business do I have with the native vlan? The question did not say we should tag native vlan.
And also the simulator did not accept switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q and I wasted time here with copy run start.

@tawani, there is nothing more to use, go only through Glop dump and the success is yours, but you have to understand and resolve them first so that you don't make any mistake during the exam.

@Lamo:Packet tracer is sufficient for the preparation !!! Some of the commands even may not work on latest packet tracer but don't worry .Remember the steps and process which you should apply on LAB SIM in exam.

Please Guys , i need a reply ! is packet tracer or boson netstim enough to make all the labs and cover topics in the switch exam or i have any way to buy real equipment ? as u know gns3 is only for routing and limited switching.

Glop's Dump is still valid !!! Make sure u prepare on LACP sim 2 and u should know how to fix native miss-match error,I tried but couldn't fix it since i was running out of time so left it as it is.With God's Grace i cleared it.

In response to your question about certprep questions, I believe from the route one q while back there were occasionally some questions from the BSCI exam which are no longer on the route exam, so this is prob also the case where there may be some questions around from the BCMSN which are no longer on switch.

I recommend using this dump for studying once you have read the book/study content, views the CBT nuggets and completed all labs in the lab book.

If there one or two questions that are not on the exam from studying you should be able to have a go at them yourself in the exam, even if you get them wrong you should still pass in the high 900s with this dump. Though others have siad they got 100%..
