hi, i just finished the route exam this dumo is still valid

Passed my CCNP Route 642-902 last week here in India.
45 Questions + 5 Simulations. Passing Score: 790 out of 1000.
The 5 simulations were,
1. New OSPF lab not included in digital tut.
2. The OSPF lab from digital tut.
3. IPv6 OSPF Virtual-Link lab.
4. OSPF EIGRP Redistribution Lab.
5. Policy Based Routing lab.
The new OSPF simulation was simple which required only to configure the interfaces in areas to complete the configuration.
All the questions were from Cisco.ActualTests.642-902.v2013-02-12.by.Igor.395q. There is no much difference from the moose 375 and this file but few extra questions are added. Also its important to note that the answers for few questions in moose 375q are wrong which are corrected in igor 395.
Didn’t get a chance to look at the questions in ROUTE.v2013-06-17.by.Igor.397q as it requires newer version of VCE software which is paid but don’t worry as Igor 395 is enough.
In the OSPF EIGRP redistribution lab, even the link between R2 and R3 was Ethernet link and not serial and that’s why used the command distance eigrp 90 105 on R2 to get the full marks.

Thanks a lot, I passed my exam 953/1000. But in EIGRP-OSPF distribution lab, other than Ping, there was something about Telnet as well, which I could not get. I managed to mutually redistribute routers and Ping via optimal path using "distance 90 105" command using fast ethernet link. Ping was okay, but could not telnet.
Could someone explain for others, if had similar lab, what this telnet part is about?

Open them in GNS3 and run the PBR LAB.In that lab you will find that they have used ICMP instead of HTTP since HTTP traffic cannot be generated.When you ping from host in EIGRP network to ISP2 the packets will automatically redirected to ISP 1 due to the ICMP policy configured on Boarder router.

Run the command show route-map on Boarder Router and you will find matching policy routing matches.

Practice the labs on GNS3 perfectly even if you get any one of the lab wrong 80 % you won't be able to crack the exam.I Also did same blunders in the exam forgot most of the theory type questions but all my labs were perfect just passed it by 825

Hello Rajiv.

You forgot the very important and basic command after the Route map permit 10.
you should include route-map permit 11 without any match statement to avoid implicit deny

The dumps are valid.! Cleared CCNP ROUTE today.!

Took route exam on 23rd Aug, 2013 but failed. 778/1000. This dump is 100% valid. Shortcuts worked very well as GNS3. Copy running-config startup-config worked only for 1 sim. Just ignore for others. All the questions covered except one. No Hotspot question. 5 labs all are from digitaltut. In redistribute sim, there is a FE between R2 and R3 and forgot to add a command on R2 "distance eigrp 90 105". I could have passed if I did that. 4 drag and drops. Forgot so many questions that I read already. In policy based routing sim, IP address got changed. They gave ISP1 IP as 10.1.100.2. I did as follows.

Even in GNS3 lab, I did not see 9 packets after configuring. There is no Generate HTTP traffic button.

Alhamedllah . I passed today with 988/1000 . guys everything from this dump everything so it's enough to study it :) . but I would like to share something . Take care Maybe the "copy running-config startup-config" command will not work in labs so don't worry, just skip it. (this thing made me crazy and I finished very late) . so take care.

passed exam yesterday. 953 score. i studied this dumps only. some difference in ospf lab.also two questions are bit changed.

Valid passed today with 948 things to make notes of
1- 5 SIMS are the same except OSPF IP addresses and area change for virtual route SIM the area was 42 OSPF process id is 91 understand the concept and the rest will be easy
2- PBR SIM make sure to check the IP address of ISP connected to Border router the IP addresses between ISP1 and Border. Border has .1 so you have to use 10.1.100.2 as a next-hop in your access list
3-Apply the route-map to int Fa0/1 (in your exam it could be different)
4-Make sure to Test using host I had to do it 3 time your will see Packets match number is incrementing like 45,60,75 and so on
5- The exam was mix of EIGRP, OSPF and BGP most questions I had were long so study this very well mainly the distribution ones concept and features of 3 routing protocols
6- I had 3 drag and drop related to EIGRP

i passed the exam today the dump it valid but ip address and ospf prosses will change. not all of it but some.dont worry you will know.

@Altaf KHan... in really exam is asnwer in same sequnce like in this dumps or they are using shuffling and change the sequnce of answers.

I passed my exam today with the score of 895. dumps are 100% valid. Only change i found was the ospf lab. where process id was 30 and area was 18. good luck all!!!

@khan @ shabeer in questn they didnt mentiond which one is BDR. so it should be r4 ( highest router id or ip).after r1 is down r4 bcm DR. and r3 bcm BDR (2nd highest ip)

I support aravind.. it didnt mention R2 is BDR before R1 fails. so how will R2 become DR. and based on physical address mentioned R4 could become DR.

In the dump one question is to discover which route(s) will be redistribute in ospf process from eigrp. In the partial configuration 3 routes appear :
C 10.10.10.16/28
D 10.10.10.64/26 and
C 172.16.10.0/24, the eigrp configuration is only network 10.0.0.0
According cisco the good answer is only route 10.10.10.0/64
But in the explanation the author said like under the ospf process the redistribute command was passed with "subnet" keyword, it must have another route "10.10.10.16/28" and cisco made a mistake.
But for me the cisco's answer is good becase 10.10.10.16 is a connected route so it can't be redistribute without the "connected" keyword redistribute comme. Tell me what is your mind about this question.

R1 DR Failed and after 10 minutes it came back online. so R2 will become the DR (as it was the BDR before) and R3 will become the BDR now. as for the R1 It will becomes the DR Other.because it cannot disturb the R2 And R3. and will become DR only if the R2 and R3 fails.

wat about questn number 306? DR should be r4 and r3 should be BDR. r1 & r2 are DRothers. but answer shows r2 is DR. how??

One point I would like to add in EIGRP/OSPF redistribution.

Its mentioned to use the link effectively.
Wherein we change the AD of external eigrp with distance command.

Before you configure this command, from the console of R1 do a trace route to 172.16.100.1. It takes the route of R1-R2-R4.

Once you change the distance, if you do a traceroute to 172.16.100.1. It takes the route of R1-R2-R3-R4 which is a better route.
This way we can verify if our config is effective. Hope this helps.
