Passed the CCNP Switch exam on 21.11
I have the Galvin, JVD and the premium questions files. All this files are vlaid but JVD and premium files have some mistakes answers marked as a right one. In my opinion most valid is Galvin file. Also I used detailed simulation instructions as well as packet tracer files for them. Lab instructions and PT labs are available for download on 9tut.com website (CCNP Switch Section). Good luck :).

90% – layer 2 technologist
100% – infrastructure services
100% – infrastructure security
LACP, AAAdot1x, VTPv3 and Ferries HSRP Hotspot are the Labs
HSRP lab was identical to dumps.
VTPv3 lab was similar also.
AAA sim was the same (i didn’t configure 2nd line with action Drop at the access-map)
LACP sim was OK, but make sure you’ve check again and again that every port got your configuration correctly and reconfigure until it show in the ‘show run’ command
take in care that you cannot save any of your configuration at any sim !!! best thing is to write this in the comment window.
*** i think about 10 Question from the exam ware slight different then those in the dumps.

I did the exam yesterday 1pm in KSA and passed with 895.
-Layer 2 Techonologies: 88%
-Infrastructure Security: 100%
-Infrastructure Services: 100%

I would 100% surely every questions from JVD 164 and Galvin 158. In gakvin all the questions and answers are correct and in JVD 43 to 53( nearly 10 questions) wrong, but cross check with the galvin as galvin is 100 corrct.

Additionally there are some extra questions in JVD (158 to 164 = 6Questions) and those are very important as i got almost everything from there. Please find 5 of them below (1 question was same as in galvin)

I failed the other day with 760.
I thought i did well and was surprised i did not pass. I felt i know my switching too. :-( I think it was just the labs. In the LACP lab. I never added the new vlans to the original switch B or pinged from the new switch to the router. I thought about it in the test but just didn't. Had a fair bit of time left at the end too.
I think that and a few other odd questions lost me the test, so make sure to configure on both sided of those links, even though the questions are a bit leading into thinking you dont need too.

-Labs in the exam: LACP, AAAdot1x, VTPv3 and HSRP Hotspot (Ferries)
-AAA sim is all as normal
-But LACP sim was trouble ,unable to check sh int trunk eventho all port-channel are correctly applied and up !!
-then I have to check from sh run
– copy run start command is not supported on both lab .!!!!
-tried to check every single things in both switches but that it !!
-Now I am moving on for the next exam route 300-101 !

To all those who passed, did copy running-config startup-config work for d lab,I tried saving my work with d above command, it didn't go, time was against me, so I clicked next. Could DAT be d reason y I failed, I did d 2 two labs very well according to certprepare, aaadot1x and lacp-stp. Still can't figure out y I failed. Very painful.

Hi, I think that you have to take care with the values, ips, vlans,... in the labs, because they could be changed.
In the Route exam the values of the labs were differents from the tests.

Failed today with 760. I don't know where I get it wrong.all questions was from Galvin. Am very very sure I picked d correct answer. Did d stp-lacp lab very well. I configured those ports that belong to vlan 21,22,23 and also enable portfast on then. I configured trunking on both swith a and b, also configured lacp etherchannel BTW them and ensure that swicth A was configured with active mode, also confirm that d etherchannel was formed with "sh etherchannel sum", ,I did d aaa lab OK, but couldn't save, tried copy running-config startup-config, I got error. Pls anybody to tell me where I got it wrong.

*Don't memorize the question, Understand the concept of the question and the answer.

I was struggled with LACP-STP Sim, i had t troubleshoot after i configured it to make it work. which required practice..!

The concept of the exam is the same word sometime change, the answer might be B on this dump, and it becomes D and the real exam. that's why u need to understand the concept and the answers.

Guys!! in the LACP STP lab its nothing to do with vlan99 (TrunkNative).

Even the question does not ask anything about vlan 99. dont go by the answer provided on the certprepare lab. try to understand the concept.

Bro once advice for you, don't go in exam only based on dumps especially in labs, as in AAA you need to mention the same host as host is defined in question, certprepare mentioned wrong IP in AAA lab.

Hey liu, don't remember the options or Sequence it's not a best practice, as i get few in same sequence because i remember the answers.

Best you can do read question and understand it well, then memorize the answer this will work for you in exam.

Do labs very carefully in exam during, prepare steps for your better understanding but For your information labs are same as certprepare so relax and go for exam once you done all questions.

In the exam, the answers are in different sequence. If you are remembering the sequence as, Question 1, answer A, Question 2, answer B, you will fail. You need to pay attention in the words and remember the logics.

For the LABs You need understand the LABS, and not memorize they.

both AAA and LACP labs were not save try every command but it's bug i guess, so relax and click next.

DUmps are still 100 % valid , 158 question by Galvin are 100 % valid , JVD 164 question also valid : Note by Galvin and JVD both dumps are exactly 100 % same only 5/6 questions are extra in JVD that exta 6 question

on 17th Oct 2015, 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM was my exam slot. I passed with 958/1000.
36 Questions including 2 LAB/Simulation 2 Hotspot(5-6 multiple question in 1 single scenario) other theory objective Type Multiple choice Question - MCQ )

I prepared examcollection both vce file for MCQ for lab only prepare from Certprepare

If you study well you should not worry about LAB and hotspot , only you have to concentrate on MCQ and mostly layer 2 Technologies question..

I scored each section 100 % , only layer 2 tech I got 95 %, so concentrate on MCQ also

Below are some important HINTTS:--

1) LAB : AAA dot 1 Q

I observed in sh run of ASW1 already Fa0/1 was configured as access port and aligned vlan 20 - so no need to configure switchport mode accesss and switch port mode access vlan.

> tab and question mark works in sim which can help you to get command

> copy run start or write is not working there I was in tense but do not worry no need to copy run start or wr , try if u want to do

> whatever radius server host ip given u have to use same I think in certprepare they used wrong ip

rest of everything is perfect and ok Labs are perfect on cerprepare


2) LACP with STP :--

> at the last of completion of my configuration I able to ping Router A from Switch B , checked also able to ping from switch A.

Do not be PANIC, always keep your mind cool and calm

pass today 1000 score my exam have 36 questions, and LABs LACP with STP(i configured trunk native vlan99 also when i show configuration i found some bug but when verify status it OK), AAAdot1x, Ferries HSRP, VTPv3 (question about add new VLAN 500 & 600 the correct answer is Configure VLAN 500 and VLAN 600 on SW1 only like Alan Smith explain)
