There are some new questions. The sims are as in 9tut.net but in different subnets and IP but the procedures are the same.
The security questions were the hardest part for me but I git 100%, so please just notice that the login message is not a threat neither in the router nor in the switch.
No login - 5 simultaneous telnet and such a things are the threats just use show run and every thing with a little patient will be fine (Actually I spent 20 mins just on security part) but I finished the exam after 1:10 Hour, so don't be nervous if you study the official book + Dumps + 9tut.net you will pass %100 hopefully (Insha'allah = If god wants).

I need some clarification on a question about the role of a router. The task is to define the router's role in a large enterprise referring to its routing table. It shows a default route via serial 0/0 and a private network connected to the same interface. If the dump isn't wrong, the router seems to function as a remote stub router. I would also think, it is the right answer because stub routers (or router-on-a-stick or so) do work with subinterfaces and in this case there have to be two of those configured on serial 0/0. Does anyone know about it and would like to explain or just tell me that I am right(if this is the case)?

This dump is about 80% vaild. Use 9tut and study hard. I had almost an hour left after answering all the questions. Learn how to get the subnet questions quickly. I had to guess on about 2 questions because I had no clue. It was about wireless. Thanks.

About 70 to 80 percent valid in US. Question orders are rearranged for some and IP addresses are probably different, so know your subnetting and IPv4. Saw about 6 to 10 new questions. Labs are about 90% accurate from 9tut only because there is a Security Testlet lab with incomplete details. If you read all the information at 9tut regarding the testlet, you should be somewhat prepared.

The most impotant thing is to be concentrated and fast, because I failed in my first test last week, after answering 48 questions only. Passed with 850. A lot of Qs from this dump. I did not memorize. I took this dump all 237 Qs right before the exam. It's worth studying this over and over but you need to know the subjects of course subnetting.

I failed this dump with 60 something % but skipped some of the drag and drops.

@Jas,

One week is enough for just doing labs, dumps and simulations (9tuts). For courses you need an other week. To success you have to do the 03 dumps at least two times. Because one dump of more than 200 question take one to two days.

Hi all, failed yesterday with score 787/1000. I was not so fast to finish all questions, I did 48/50 questions. I was very near to have 804, but I will retake it next week, and I will get it inchallah!!
My observations about my exam are:
1- had one question about how to get setup mode, this question does not exist in dumps.
2- be fast and read well questions.
3- Dumps are very usefull but not valid 100%, simulations are 100% valid from 9tut.

I have my ICND1 booked for 31st Jan - I know a little subnetting - I have the Cisco press ICND1 book and the CBT Nuggets videos - I also have a whole week off work prior to the exam - is this going to be enough time to pass?

I passed this test yesterday. I used this dump, the trainsignal and cbtnuggets videos, the Cisco press books and Tom videos. A lot of practice with Cisco Packet.
Only got like 25% of the questions from here but all the simlets, testlets and scenarios that 9tut has.
Definitely you should know everything instead on relying on the dump!

i just passed this exam December 28, 2010(Score 937).
about 80% of my exam questions were from this dump. One simulation and one Drag & Drop were from 9tut.net.

Passed today used this exam to finalize my studing. CBT Nuggets ICND1 did a great job. About 1/2 the questions from this bank. Got more wireless questioins then I wanted but exceled in the simulations 9tut is best. Good luck

Hey guys just passed !!!! got 950!!!!
this exam is pretty easy if you study everything .. you must know how to subnetting..troubleshooting and a couple of "show run" simulations..
there was something about security on router and switch config.. i'm pretty sure that the option "the banner welcome is inappropriate" is right .. and the password 0 command is a security issue.. there was something about access point (it never seen on dumps ) i remember something about ssid broadcasting disabled on the access point ..

@ Remy, the exam covered everything . There was a security testlet. There was a Router and a switch. All you have to do is run a show run command and they will ask you about security flaws on the devices, that is the only one that lost me.

Guys, I have just passed ICND1 with a score of 837. I'm alittle bit disappointed with the score but the most important thing is that I have cleared it.

As for practice, I used Robie's and Ariel's dump. In the exam, there were 10 questions from these dumps, meaning if you go in the exams after memorising the dumps, you are more likely to fail.The dumps will only give you an idea of how exam questions will look like. In order to suceed in this exam;

1. Study the CCENT material really well.
2. Know subnetting VERY well(time is of the essence)
3. know your stuff really well

I have been reading and doing 9tut sims. Use packet tracer for configuring ip address on interfaces/passwords on vty/console/priv mode etc..

In Cisco exam there is no Back button or review options. Once you done with one q or say u have finished half of the SIM & thinking coming back later to solve the problem ! no way ... even if u confused about any ans, you ave to ans it right away. If you leave it blank you will never come back cause there is no back option in crazy CISCO.

one more question before I go on the exam .. suppose that solves the test, I have a question on which I want to think about so I leave at the end of the test them. if I get back to the question of Whether It Is Possible to re-review the questions that already have answers or a response Should Be given the Immediately and no Possibility of correction.

Drag & Drop will give you some points for the correct matching, same for Lab SIM, if they ask you 3/4 q from a sim & if you correct 1/2, you will get partial number for that sim but rest of the multiple choice if they ask for 3 correct choice in a q & you choose 2 correct ans, you will get ZERO.

a similar question as Marcin (powodzenia :) ).. if I answer 4 questions of 5 from labsim how it will be scored?

If you have multichoice question and you have 2 right 1 wrong Do you get some point for that or its total wrong

passed with 96.5 percent..guys go through the sims from 9ut, i got 3 out of 4 from their..got the same security sim...know telnet, ssh and configure password. the dump is valid, there were around 80% questions out from the dump..dont memorize the question..understand the concept.and getting 804 should not be a problem...all the best guys..icnd2 here i come

in the CBT is not explained - just as in TS - everything about the RAM, ROM, NVRAM, FLASH MEMORY, TFTP
and copy command connects it all together.

so I have the exam date.
as for me, in the TrainS is more data.
is explained precisely the types of cables static routing, DCE / DTE and many others.
but nuggets gave me A better understanding of subnetting

@ luukash. Can you clarify your statement? Are you saying that there is less content in the CBT Nuggets compared to trainsignals? Have you sat for your exams already ?

this VCE is good to get 50/60% number on the exam. 9 tut is good for SIM. A security sim which is new but discussed on this forum already, so u can easily get some points on that. Drag & Drop from 9 tut also important as well. What i am saying is passing is not difficult if u follow that way. want a good score ? study more material, watch CBT nuggets. There was a Q about cross over cable which i forget to mention earlier. A pic of cross over cable & asked me what king of cabling is that. make sure u know color coding of the cables & the way to make it cross over/straight through. BEST OF LUCK. there was a question " new pc added in the network & try to communicate with web server. Try pinging the server for the first time & got 60% success rate but ping the next time got 100% success rate ! why ping for the time got 60% not 100% ? there was a drag & drop q (4 matching, what kind of technology they use ? 1. Frame Relay, 2.PSTN, 3. ATM, 4. ?? & choices were *circuit switch, * packet switch, cell switch, ?? cant remember 4th one.). 2 of the drag drop came from 9 tut. there was another q, **company need 66000 user?, what class of address they need to fulfill the requirements. I cant remember anymore but they are logical & if u study good you will pass.

Hi all, i got it today with poor score of 885/1000. I was too weak in WLAN area. This dump is valid for 60%. All the SIM from 9 tut. one of them was security & which is already discussed by WAQAS(gr8) on oct,13 in this forum. Lots of drag & drop. Two of them critical ! I was good in subnetting & for all of you please have a good & quick idea of subnetting. Time wasn't a factor for me cause finished it by 55 mins. Wish all of you for the exam. BYEEE .

ya i tell you something about new security sim. You must have very clear concepts about telnet, SSH, login, nologin, strong password and weak password (unencrypted) to solve this sim.

You have four multiple choice questions. 2 about the router configuration and other 2 about the switch configuration. Just use #show run command on both to answer.

on a router you have a weak uncrypted password (enable password cisco), this is a security threat.
Telnet is enable and password is set but with #nologin command. that means password is set but their is no use of password (which is security threat). A username ciscouser is made with command #username ciscouser password cisco (this is also a security threat because by using this command the ciscouser gets privileged level 15 automatically by default). you have to identify three security threats in router configuration.

The same thing is with the switch. Only SSH is enable on the switch for remote access. enable password is encrypted but vty passwords are unencrypted. their are 15 vty lines but only 5 simultaneous connections are allowed with login local command and only one user were made. It means that only one user can connect to a switch remotely. Please see Jermy's ICND 1 CBT Nuggets (Security Video # 1) and video about Management of routers and switches. So you can easily solve that sim.

Today I passed CCENT Exam with 912/1000. Please don't rely on the dumps only. Cisco updated the exam. Only 15 to 20 questions were out of this dumps. All other's are new. 3-4 drag and drop questions and 3 simulations. 2 Simulations are from 9tut and one Security simulation is new.You a a router and a switch (both are seperate from each other) and both connected separately to a PC via console port. You don't need to configure any thing. Just answer 4 multiple choice questions by using #show run command on router and a switch. Don't forget to listen CBT Nuggets by Jermy and do some lab practice also. CCENT is a game of concepts. If your concepts (Subnetting, Frames, WAN links, Security) are clear then you will pass this exam easily.

One last thing, watch out on the format on the sims, the questions are tabbed, do not press next until you've done all the tabs. I "next" out a sim before finishing (no back button), I know others that have done the same. Could of been painful. Only used to doing MS and comptia exams. dooh!

@ MCITP yep, I came off the MS path this year, I will finish my CCNA then revisit MS to update to 2008 bummer, Cisco material has been an eye opener worth spending the time on I think.

I respect CISCO cause they r not like Microsoft stuff. I was preparing for Cisco will go next week for the exam.DUMP is all about idea of Q & never expect the same q will b in exam, though some of them come straight. believe or not i have passed each MS exam only 15 days prep but CISCO is different here. Still working in my lab in real routers..

The new security sim is a console to a switch and a seperate console to a router
hostname SwitchA and RouterA. You have to show run on both then answer the security loopholes in the configs. For example can you telnet into the router on the current config.
You are right though you cannot pass on the dumps alone, which is good, cos spent my time learning the material and glad you cant just dump it like the M.S stuff. Use the dumps to test out your knowledge, some questions however do appear on the test.

Those who passed say dumps are 100% valid & those who failed called it's 50~60% valid. Basically no one can pass Cisco only study the dumps, isn't it ? main thing is concept that we are getting from those dumps or 9 tut. there is one security sim is coming almost every icnd1 exam but no one can clarify what exactly the sim is about ?? not even great 9 tut !! can anyone please tell us about the new sim or security Q coming on exam ? the type of information they really asked about that security sim. thanks in advance..

Appeared for the exam today. I failed with 763 score or something. Dumps are valid 60%. I got 0% on Implement and Verify WAN Link. Don't know where was the problem.

These dumps are valid for about 50%. You also need to study the material posted on www.9tut.com and must some knowledge about networking.

I took the test this morning with a 925. The dumps are still valid. I had a couple of questions from this dump, and the previous dump.
I got a sim I've never seen before on this dump, or 9tut.net. It was a lot to do with security, asking what parts of the config was insecure/secure etc. My best advice to all those who are taking the exam. These dumps will only help you polish up, and get your head into the kinds of question cisco is going to ask. Nothing will displace actual studying from the press books, or practice.

I got a new lab i never saw before. on the left a switch, on the right a router.
i had to answer questions about security settings. how many telnet connections can occur at the same time ? enable password, enable secret , username xxx password yyy ist set, vty password at the same time, login and no login ..
what happens with "enable secret 0 cisco" - something about level 15 access.
is the web access (sdm) configured the right way ? switchport portsecurity questions as well. 4 multiple choice questions the " what is correct"-way. use show running config, show portsecurity ... oO wtf !
i spend more than 20 minutes with this lab and tryed it with a process of elimination. know the stuff, its the hardest lab i ever saw -.- and its not on 9tut.

what about the SIM ?? still coming from 9tut ?? or something new added in the exam ? anyone give me that ans please ??

Thanks to the members of the community and owners of the site. This dump and the one before this one are STILL VALID. I passed with a 950! One thing is DON'T just memorize the answers to the dumps because they actually change the questions to ask for different things but it looks like it is the same. So read the question slowly. I'm pretty sure Cisco is aware of these types of sites.. either way I passed and thanks to everyone to helped!

i just the exam 30 mins ago. sorry but not that many questions where in this dump or previous. maybe 10-15. the exam was a shock for me. there are 50 questions, no calculator, and some questions had 4 sub questions inside with multiple possibl answwers!! And you cannot review any questions. mad! thats bad, as you cant see if there are any complaicted questions at the end that will take up your time. so you have to rush through. its a 90 mins exam.

know password types, encryption, ssh, subneting, rip.

Agreed with CiscoEngineer. I took the exam last week and passed with over 900. Several questions appeared from this one and the previous one. They were worded differently and these helped as a study guide.

touseef I took it this morn. They are still pretty good. They are not perfect. Mix this one with the last one and use 9tut.net. I got a 787 today. My one sim was pretty hard though. I think it was what did me in.

hi "J" see the CCNA is divided in to 2 parts
1- ICND1 i.e 822
2 ICND2 i.e 816

both ot them will give u a CCNA certification i.e 802 you can either can give CCNA i.e 802 at single shot or u can complete your CCNA in (2 parts ICND1 n ICND2) it is up to you

thats it,,,,no need to panic its simple ,but personally i'll recommend that u should go for ICND1 n 2 ,

I did the exam aswell and passed Alhamdulillah with a 912. Maybe 10% of these questions came on the test (6 or so). Had 60 questions, 3 simulations/drag and drop and you name it. Many security questions, some subnetting questions. Wasnt to hard but you do have to read the questions well! Cuz is trying to trick you! Also check CDP, check some basic routing commands and security!
