Pass Your Cisco 642-832 Exam Easy!

What about scenario and topologies? Are they the same for all passers? Or may they vary in some fashion ?

I am taking TSHOOT exam next week. Just wondering how many questions ? (13 tickets mean 13 questions) or (13 tickets out of 4 scenarios).
I am scared as to how come one can do all 12 to 13 scenarios in 2 hrs. Hence wondering.Thanks in advance. You people rock as always.

I want to know the pattern of the question asked in the Trouble Ticket!

Does the trouble ticket state only the pinging from source to destination (eg:-Client 1 is not able to ping web server, & tell us to find the faulty device) OR does the TT question states the faulty device & the technology used & give us a hint about the TT being asked? (eg- Client is able to ping 10.1.1.1 but not 10.1.1.2, INITIAL TROUBLESHOOTING SHOWS THAT R1 DOES NOT HAVE ANY OSPF NEIGHBORS) ??

Does only SHOW RUN command solves every TT ?

Please please help me..Worried! :( :(

Guys, you are great, I passed yesterday March 1 2012 with 821 score, this site is amazing all the questions are here everything almost same, just be careful don't memorize things on it's shape, all 13 tickets are saying that client can't ping web server nothing more. first thing do IPCONFIG on the client whether is getting IP address or not, if got IP address then use PING to get echo from the devices on the road heading web server, if it's not getting IP address try with ASW1 and R4(DHCP server). if you calm everything is easy, but if you rush will be not be easy.

I forward this discussion to you to help me out about your suggestion and contributions. I wrote 642-832 exam about 12 days ago. After identifying the faulty devices using ipconfig and ping commands, the fault condition in which the technology was related to could not be ascertained since sh run int and sh int commands did not work on all routers, switches and interfaces, some of which I listed as follows:
ASW1# sh run int fa1/0/1
ASW1# sh int fa1/0/1 & sh int fa1/0/2
ASW1# sh int fa 1/0/1 & sh int fa 1/0/2
ASW1# sh run int fa 1/0/2
DSW1# sh run int fa 1/0/1

R4# sh run int serial0/0/0.34
R4# sh run int s0/0/0/0.34
R1# sh run int serial0/0/1
R1# sh run int serial 0/0/1
R1# sh run interface serial 0/0/1
R1# sh run int serial 0/0/0.12

Though the sh run command was working but this command could not show all the interfaces conditions.

I want you guys to help me out by advising me if I had used wrong commands or if those commands listed above supposed to generate outputs. I anxiously waiting for comments

really it's very difficult exam, i spend all the 2 hours to finish.
Note: please don't try to choose the first choice if u r not sure it's a true choice, because the next 2 choose question are depending on it (first choose question) and their answers will change depending on the choice answer for the first question.

passed today with 835. Some of the questions was very difficult. Can't ever answer any TTS without ping, ipconfig, sh run commands because all the TTs will have the answer option R1,R2,R3,R4,DSW1,DSW2,ASW1,ASW2. If client 1 didn't get the 10.x.x.x range IP address ASW1 (or R4 DHCP ) will be the answer. First Check client 1 IP, If it is 10.x.x.x ping to Web server, R1 R2, R3, R4,DSW1 (For Vlan Filter Vlan Access map) .

Folks even if the answers are similar to that of the vce, don't just simply try to cram the answers. In exam locating the faulty device & the fault condition from the whole show run output is the key.

One more thing: tracert on the Clients not activated as in the TSHOOT Demo.

This was a great exam. Passed with 890 score. took 2:30 hrs to finish. did not read any dumps. only knowledge from route and switch exam + use boson ExSim-max .

TIP: do not submit TTs yet even if you are 100% sure because I did abort all of the time to compare all correct config on each TTs.

Yesterday I did the exam and got 945.Small tilt in one MCQ(Console logging message) and Valn filter qestion.

Guys,
why he give us the layer 2 topology !! we can use only layer 3 topology.
please advice because i don't know why layer 2 topology in the exam !!

Today I did the exam and got 986, lol I passed, they exam is very very easy, just stay clam and chill, you have soo much time to do it, so dont ever rush, just take it easy.everything is the same as mentioned on this site

Some of the configuretion is a bit tricky but you can easily find out the mistake.

I got 3 MC (1 new MC) and got 100% in Troubleshoot may be 1 got the new MC wrong, if not I could have got 1000.

My strategy (from Networktut.com) for TSHOOT tickets

Open CLT1 - do Ipconfig
1. no IP address or receive 169.xx.xx.xx (4 Tickets here)
ASW1 - Access VLAN, Trunking, Port Security
R4 - DHCP excluded
2. Search unique questions
R2 - IPv6 (check the question with showing the IPv6 address and this is the only question showing the IPv6 question)
DSW1 - HSRP (sh run - you can see the tracking command there and it is the only question have the tracking command)
3. receive IP address (10.2.1.3), can't ping 10.1.2.254 (Gateway) from CLT1
DSW1 - VLAN ACL
4. receive IP address (10.2.1.3), can't ping 10.1.1.2 (R2 to R1 interface) from CLT 1
R4 - Passive interface, EIGRP AS no., Redistribution (wrong route map name)
5. receive IP address (10.2.1.3), can't ping 10.1.1.1 (R1 interface) from CLT 1
R1 - OSPF Authentication
6. receive IP address (10.2.1.3), can ping 10.1.1.1 (R1 interface) from CLT 1
R1 - NAT (sh ip bgp summary - can see peering, sh run - no VLAN 10)
R1 - BGP (sh ip bgp summary - no peering establish, sh run - wrong neighbor address)
R1 - ACL (sh ip bgp summary - no peering establish, sh run - no permit the 209.65.200.224 0.0.0.3)

If you can remember this you will pass the test with no issues!

dear Dave from Hong Kong , most of the questions only tell u that clients cant ping web serve onlyr. and what u read on dumps give u a nice information for the situation of the tickets.

dont worry its not hard, u need only to do traceroute by ping to know where is the problem, good luck just folow the steps and wriite the tickets before u start the exam and folow the path.

you have to know how to find fault. rest of it very easy.

first start with HSRP and ipv6. both are mentioned in questions.

Any Association level Certificates like (CCNA) you can make re-certification for via:
1) take any exam from 642-xxx series Like (TSHOOT,ROUTE,SWITCH)
2) take CCIE exam.

Hi Ali,
please note:
1 - you can use show and ping commands on router and MLS switch.
2 - you can use ping and ipconfig command on PC.
But strongly I recommend these procedure to troubleshooting :
1- use ipconfig on PC first to determine the connectivity from PC to DG.
1-1 if PC got IP address from DHCP server you can use ping command to test connectivity from PC to other devices But I suggest ping from PC first to R1 and then R2 and then R3 and then R4. because you can detect the problem as quickly as possible from PC to other devices with some ping commands.
1-2 -If PC does not got IP address from DHCP server you can guess that it may be possible the problem is about layer 2 issue such as vlan misconfiguration, or port-security, or vlan access-map or trunk misconfiguration and probably the problem is from PC to R4 ( first device layer 3 ).

2) to which technology the problem(i.e. DHCP, OSPF, EIGRP,NAT.etc).
3) who to correct?
