Could someone please explain me what's the difference between Linux LX0 and Linux LPIC exams? Please!

I took LX0-102 today scored 720/800. This dump is still valid. Pay more attention to the commands than I did. I ended up with about 15-18 command/file location input questions. Linux+ certified.

Hey I'm a little confused. right now I'm studying for this and the dump does not have any questions on LDAP and very few on samba. I also have a pdf from all actual test questions.com or something like that with a ton of LDAP and Samba questions. Does lx-102 cover LDAP at all? and how are the samba questions I should be expecting?

Dump still valid. Took yesterday with a 720. Study the last section because there were several questions from it. Also study the fill in the blanks carefully, I had lots of those on this test. Good Luck! I am not Linux+ Certified!

Try to focus only CompTIA's material as they differ a bit. However, if you know Linux then you are good. As far as I know, this is a solid dump and I made sure bunch of errors corrected. If you think you need a bit more study, then please check out TrainSignal's Linux+ or VTC.com. I think VTC is the far cheapest. $ 30.00 a month will give you plenty time to master your study.

Once you pass this exam, you'll also receive certification from LPI as Level 1. Once you have that certification, then you should concentrate on LPI Level 2 Exam 201 and 202.

CompTIA Linux+ Exam 101 & 102 = LPI Level 1 Exam 101 & 102

Thanks for the info. I am planning to study some LPI dumps also for the comptia Linux 102 exam. does anyone know what exams are equivalent - I meant to say LPI Level1 102 or Level 2 202 etc. The key to success to these exams is a complete thorough study

If you take the test this week post back if this dump is still valid. I will be taking this test next week.

I really can't imagine that this test will change that much, but keep us posted.

Did anyone take the exam on LX-102 in this week. I took LX101 this week and most questions are valid from the dump for LX 101. I studied 4-5 dumps. Since I am learning that it is a different set of questions after July 1st for 102 any advice? Ofcourse I study the book too

NULL be careful. This exam is done by LPI. Site of LPI has been reported that after 1 July they update whole system / test /.This means -brand new set questions. On lpi.org describes all the changes in test.LPI give the questions то CompitA, the exam is the same.Difference between two tests - exam ComtiA Linux+ is linear , exam LPI is adaptive.Study more and no problem !Good luck!

Didn't realize there was a lot of the same content from LX0-101. I will be probably taking this on Wednesday.

Anyone used this dump with the real exam lately? Curious if it's still good. I used DarkRido's & Neotokyo's with success today on LX0-101.

I was hoping that the real CompTIA test didn't have the fill in the blanks but I guess if they do then I will have to go over those very well.

Yes, actual exam has lots of fill in blank questions. Go over my dump but verify fill in answers are correct. I think most supposed to be correct.

Sorry, I didn't check this site for a few days. I was quite busy with Security+ exam.

Just grab any Linux+ book you are comfortible. It doesn't have to be Sybex. I think Sybex loaded way too many staff into the book.
Also, get a PC, load (VMware Server 2.0 or Hyper-V), make sure you have plenty RAM and HDD. Download and install bunch of Linux versions and run it.

More you are hands on it gets better at the exam.
If you don't like reading, then I would suggest look into TrainSignal's Linux+ or SkillSoft. Once you ready to take the exam, make sure you go over my dump.

I also want to warn you that once a while, CompTIA chage entire exam questions. I was unlucky when I took my Security+ exam this week. I got brand new questions. So, don't wait too long to take the Linux+ before they change the exams.

I want to know if you have been able to log on to Comptia's career id site and update your information since you passed your LX-102 exam.This is because I am able to log on but I cant do anything,none of the links are responding.

Detailed Objectives are exactly the same for LPI-1 and LX0, now look at.Only apparent difference is only in the type of test / Linear or adaptive /.

The book of Sybex Frankly I do not like.

@Niko: I recommend you to go with CompTIA's Linux+ exam because; a) it does not expire b) you'll also receive an LPIC-1 certification from LPI c) You'll receive another certification from Novel SUSU.
If you still want to continue taking further Linux certifications, then you can continue taking LPIC-2 or Novel SUSU advance certification.

Although, my dump so far solid but you should not depend on it 100% like others on this site. You must study and understand rather than memorize the questions. Compare to other test I took, this one has lots of fill in questions. So practice is very important.

hi, I want to ask you something. Which exam is better to appear-linux +, powered by lpi or LPI1. I have exactly the same if not both, and what is the difference between the two? I cook from a book LPI LINUX
CERTIFICATION IN A NUTSHELL, I will know you take the Linux +, and learn from it?

I don't think Samba questions are LX0-102 related.

If you follow the below link, it will take you to ComTIA's web site where you can download the exam objectives for the LX0-101 and 102. I have a copy in my computer and it does not mention anything about Samba configuration.
