Pass Your CompTIA SY0-301 Exam Easy!

First, you can study these dumps and the simulations that have been posted - but don't rely 100% on any of them. You MUST understand the theory and concepts behind why the answer is right and the others are wrong. I passed using this VCE, Professor Messers videos, Exam Cram, and the Official Study Guide with 3 practice exams in it I bought off of Amazon. I passed with a 810/900 (90%). I had about 7 SIMS that were spot on as posted from this VCE and the Power Point and a few I studied off of the Official Guide in the Videos and Labs that come on the CD.

I have been doing Security+ type stuff while in the military since 2000 and really understood this material and grasps the concepts easily.

Once person suggested that you copy the Objectives over to WORD and fill in the material with various sources and organize as such - as a study guide from the books and exams until you fully understand the concepts. It took me 4 months of studying while working full time. I got it and so can you. Plan and organize your study notes while taking 10 question exams until you get a 100% correct. Don't worry about doing 70 to 100 questions all at once. Kinda like a work out preparing for an actual battle. Not all at once - and you will train your brain to accept the knowledge and concepts! Just passed the Security+ with a 869 score. I spent a total of 5-6 months preparing.
This is what I did:
Read CompTIA Security+ by Glen Clarke and did the practice questions.
Read Security+ Exam Cram and did the practice questions.
Performed the Exam Cram Practice questions (additional book with a few hundred of questions)
Read Darril Gibson’s Security+ book and did the practice questions.

Also did Professor Messor videos, read items on techexams.net, and used ProProfs materials too.

I only found maybe 5 questions from the ExamCollections bank within the CompTIA exam. My suggestion is to study the concepts and know what they mean. The questions are more difficult than you think and tries to test your knowledge of the actual material.

Passed with 820 3 hours ago.
Saw a handful of questions only but it helped me get prepared for the actual difficulty of the questions. 2 sims were from media fire(security diagram & types of attacks),2 from exam c from here, and 2 from http://www.getcertified4less.com/v/vspfiles/downloadables/SecurityMiniCourseHandbook.pdf

and the last one I never saw but it was very easy to figure it out. Know your popular protocols and popular ports. Study application attacks and of course the most boring basic of COMPLIANCE AND OPERATIONAL SECURITY. To me, this are the subject were they asked a lot of tricky kind of questions. So study this one a lot!!!
Application and social engineering attacks also.
You do need to know the concepts of SEC+, no way around it! Having to study this questions and from the VCE right above this one(239) helped me understands the concepts.
I owe it to you guys to update this dump. Don't be discouraged just because there are not a lot of this question on the test cause this questions will help understand the concepts. I'm a hands on training instead of booksmart and I still past. So study and please updated this dump after you take the test for others. THANK GOD FOR THIS DUMPS!!!!

I passed this test today but im really unsure of the validity of the answers in this dump. I saw easily 50 or more questions word for word from this dump, however the answers were a different order. I know for a fact that ones i saw i answered just like the dump showed and i only scored a 775. i had 6 sims which im sure i bombed tho. i read the book and studied for a few weeks for this so i know i answered the questions right according to the dump. Be sure you study something other than this dump

Took the exam today and got about 20 questions out of this dump.
It did help me pass the test.

Got a 830. About 20 questions were exact from this dump and I only went through the first half of it. I read the study book then did this dump. Study your ports, what they do, and how to use them. (mainly 21, 22, 23, 25, 53, 69, 443)

I passed today with a 800, needed 750 to pass. This practice exam is about 50% valid. Probably more if I looked at all of the questions, since there is 600+ questions. The sims are not valid. Not even close. On the exam there was 75 questions including 5 sims. You definitely need to read a book, like I did, and not rely solely on this practice exam. Hope this helps.

I forgot to mention in my previous comment that there were 74 questions in the exam, which included the sims.

I studied all 587 questions on this vce and there were about 25 of them on the version of the exam I took today. I learned enough from going over all the questions three times to score 852. The sims from http://www.mediafire.com/view/e353i193n3x71m2 helped also. Of those sims, three were on my exam. It also helped to view comments from the earlier release of this vce

I used these, make sure you know firewall rules, know encryption and also physical security, biometrics, I also used pass4sure study it seemed to be close simulation of the exam, youtube had some good videos from Train signal and Dr. Messer, I studied 3 days only and got an 841.

Took test today and passed with 820. About 15 questions were from this exam. You need to know the concepts and not just the answers. I had 6 sims and 71 questions. My sims came at the beginning of the exam.They were put volatile memory in order, match ports with protocols(both were in exam c of this dump),set up a fw policy, match the type of attack, network diagram and match which items are needed, forgot the last one.

Dump is valid. Most questions were on there word for word, others were phrased slightly different.

Make sure to study the sims mentioned in other dumps and study the concepts, not the answers.

Passed the Security + exam today with a 841. Some of the questions on the dump are valid, but not many. I used Darril Gibson's book and website to go over the material, and found it very helpful. Know your port numbers, types of social engineering attacks, and encryption to name a few. Memorizing questions will not help you if you don't know the material. That's my own opinion.

Is this dump valid?

I took the exam yesterday and there were about 3-5 questions valid from this dump. One of the included questions included the drag and drop with the port numbers. I passed today with a score of 801/900 from using LabSim study material, ExamCram, partial material from this dump, and IT experience. Good luck!

This dump is huge, over 500 questions. Lots of them seem to match up to what is in other smaller dumps. While the most recent, valid questions might be in here, there is obviously a ton of stuff that wont be on the exam or is from older dumps. I still found it useful to study from but there are no explanations for any of the questions so be ready to research why you got certain questions wrong. If anyone has any info on the simulations that are on the SY0-301 exam, please post!

some of the questions are on the test but not everything maybe like 20 questions and some of them are reworded. l just passed today wit 792/900 using this dump with a lil bit of IT experience.
