I took the test this morning after only studying this dump and PASSED with a 869. The test had 91 questions with the first three being performance based. I didn't even answer those.. I Skipped them and went directly to the questions. Every question was from this dump. And I only studied really for 3 days.

Took the test today 2 FEB 2013. Got an 861, but all the questions were on there.

Passed on Feb 1; 8xx. Maybe 10 new questions (but same concepts, so know the material and not just the answers), and the sims were different than people mentioned before. Still the ports one, but one was setting up security on servers and smartphones, and another was reviewing logs of security devices/servers for failures. Still a valid concept exam for practice, but approaching "danger zone".

Took the test today in Germany and scored a 846. Most of the questions were still valid, however I found about 15 to 20 that were not on this dump. The simulations were the same as the ones described by the last few people.

100% valid. took test Friday and got a 890/900. I had to slow down when taking the test because i didnt want to set any type of alarm off within the system. I could have finished that test in 10 minutes no bull. I was skeptical being this was my first time using exam collection but this is the real deal, no bullsh!t.

Took test on 1/26 and passed with 88x. This dump is 100% valid. Every questions was from this dump, AnonTester, and Alejandro dump..as these three dumps are same. There were 3 simulation questions. First one was the authentication factors (something you are, have, & know). Second was Volatility (From least Volatility - Most Volatility). Third was Firewall ACL (know your ports well and subnetting). It was all 90 questions in 90 mins. Good luck to those yet to take the exam.

The first 3 questions today were simulations: firewall config, authentication factors, and volatility scale.
The firewall item was NOT very well made - the ip address drop downs were long. You gotta know ip subnets and ports.
Do not waste much time on these as you can go back for them (unlike cisco exams). Scored upper 800s by knowing stuff.

Just took the cert 30 mins ago and passes with a 850 just used this dump, studied for a week. also used google to look up acronym meanings.

Hey guys i passed my exam =) with a 820, xig dumped is 100% valid. There were definitely 3 simulations questions that were on my exam which was drag and drop for matching protocols with ports. 2nd was a secuirty issue of a simulation of which failed the most securely by idenitfying in the logs of the 2 routers, IPS, Sever and a firewall.3rd one don't really remember. I studied professor messor sec+ videos and sybex sex + book and used this as a concept of what to expect. like everybody else said plz know the concepts and just don't cram study on a specific dump to pass.

Took the test today. Passed, but barely with a 781. I had three performance-based questions and MANY questions that were not in any of the VCEs. I studied this one and the IDIOT dump extensively. Only a handful of questions on my test were from either dump. Bottom line: you have to know this stuff or you're in trouble.

XIG dump still 100% valid. Took exam and scored an 896. There were 3 performance based questions on my test as others have mentioned. I studied Mike Meyers' Security+, Professor Messer videos, and this dump. Learn the concepts and you will be fine.

Took the test today, after postponing it from back in Dec after hearing the test had changed. I had 100 Q's, NO performance "betas" or whatever everyone else is referring to. The exam was almost word for word from this dump, I also studied the idiot dump. No surprises. 3 or 4 questions were not the exact as dumped, but easily answerable and very similar. I studied for weeks, due to the doom and gloom "test is changed" I saw no surprises, but I studied and LEARNED the concepts as well as the ports. IMHO- if you are just expecting to cram solely based on the dumps- good luck. You will need it and google if you are hired soley based on certs. Thank you exam collection and the people here that provide real information. Seems to be a lot of sketchy information. At least I took the time to learn it. I scored in the mid to low 800's

I don't care what anyone says, this dumb is still very valid. I studied this the day before and of my exam, and saw the majority the questions on my test. Study this and some of the ID10T dumb, and also understand the concepts that will also help if your lost. Know your ports and the different types of encryptions and the rest should be simple. By the way, I scored an 8** and you only need 750 to pass.

Just got home from taking this test, and I can confirm that about 80-90% of all the questions on my test were from this XIG dump. I don't know who posted this online, but to whoever did, THANK YOU for allowing us all to review the material before taking the test. I studied for about a total of a week tops, only using this dump and watching ALL of the Professor Messer videos I could in time. Ended up getting an 804. Not bad for barely studying. ;)

Took the test today. This dump is roughly 90% valid. Most of questions was word for word. One tip for the person who is about to take this, you need to prepare for the first three simulation questions. It used to be 100 questions, but it has changed to 91 questions.

I'm currently in a military four-day crash course on Sec+ followed by the test this Friday. The test has been revised as of Jan. 7th verified by these instructors so the performance questions(3 or 4) have been implemented. I'm slowly going through this dump and all the information and materials from the class. Will post again after.

Thanks for the answer. Indeed, it does seem simple. I was expecting more like specific syntax knowledge required (not necessarily a problem in itself).

As for the dump being 100% valid, it could be so, but I still believe a few questions may have wrong answers. Obviously, since you got 100%, you either did not run into any of those, or you chose the correct answer by thinking, not by following this dump to the letter. Just as I did on previous Cisco exams, ignoring allegedly correct answers found on the Internet, that were obviously wrong in my opinion, and managing to score 100% as a result.

@tony, its just a basic access list config for firewall, and there is no vendor specification. u wil choose it from a dropdown list, and also write the port numbr wic will b given to u in d question.. the exam is totally simple, the dump is 100% valid, jst 1 to 2 question not in this dump

First of all, congratulations.
Secondly, I have one question about the performance based questions:
Some people say they had to configure access lists.
What kind of access lists? Firewall / router style access lists, or DACL style access lists (as in permissions in NTFS, for example)?
If the answer is firewall / router style access lists, is it vendor specific (CISCO syntax, other vendors) or more like pseudocode?
Lastly, do you have to write the access lists yourself, or do you have to choose (as in drag and drop or something) from multiple options?

Took the test this weekend too. I'd say around 70% of the questions on here were on the test. Studied this and Idiot's test and got 8**. Dont sweat the performance based questions. They're EASY if you understand the concepts.

I've been studying prof.Messer's videos and Darril Gibson's book. After that, I used this to test what I've learned. Got a few questions/remarks:

1) Question 213 is definitely wrong. It should be HTTPS instead of FTPS, 990/989 instead of one of the answers, or SFTP instead of FTPS.

2) Question 359: of the four answers, I believe it should be VLANs that are able to mitigate ARP spoofing attacks. None of the others has anything to do with ARP spoofing attacks, including Flood guards, which is the correct answer, in the author's opinion. Am I right or am I wrong? Please explain, if wrong.

Also, there are other questions which are at least debateable, for example the one with best measure against multiple hard drives failing - author's correct answer is RAID; another option is server clustering.
Obviously, it depends on the RAID type. If it's a 0, 1 or 5, multiple drives failing is the end of the RAID. Even if it's a 10 or 6 or whatever else, it really depends on HOW MANY and WHAT COMBINATION of drives fail. On the other hand, if one has 4 servers clustered, each server with only one hdd, even if we lose 3 hdds/servers, there still remains one intact server. So, as I was saying.. debateable.. not a good question, in my opinion..

what is multiway? multiway can mean a lot of different things.

I studied this exam and took the test this morning..This is the test to study. The questions are word for word. My test started out with 3 "simulations" or performance questions. The first was to configure a firewall for 3 different senarios. The second was a drag and drop and the third was a multiway. All were very self explanitory. **Know your ports for the firewall configuration** After that it was all multiple choice and there were probably 6-10 questions that I did not see on this exam. But if you study this exam and grasp the concepts behind all the questions, you will have no problem. Hope this info helps!!

ACTUALLY, to correct the person below, I JUST literally got done talking to my testing center in Maryland and they said there are officially performance questions on the Security+ SY0-301 exam and that it officially changed Jan 5th. So, I'm not sure what the hell everyone else on here is talking about, but if you don't know for sure, CALL YOUR SPECIFIC TESTING CENTER BEFORE YOU TAKE THE TEST SO YOU KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT! I haven't taken my yet, but am soon. I just called them to verify this and they said that there are definitely the new performance questions on the test. This may vary from testing center to testing center, but I know the one in Maryland I called confirmed this. Just a heads up!

Studied using youtube professor messer security+ series, then Virtual Training Company security+ training video series, on the android I used LearnZapp's material, and while I slept I listened to a SY0-201 preplogic audiobook lecture.

Wrote exam this morning at 11:14 a.m. CST. 100% valid. Studied Xig and Idiot dump. I didnt' see any question fromn Idiot only from this one. Scored 876. First 3 questions were simulations or as they call it performance based. Configure ACL, Drag and Drop, and Multiway..Very easy though. I used Idiot to learn concepts and really glad I took at this one as I only went thru it once. Very easy IMO. You will do well if you learn the concepts from this dump and have a good memory. Took exam JK0-018 on 10th. Passed, still 95% valid for JK0-018.

Took the exam yesterday 1/11/13, passed barely but passed 761, i studied the first 200 questions of this dump and stopped because of the comments but none-the-least some questions were on there, plus I studied comptia security+ syo-301 second edition authorized cert guide by david l. prowse a lot of the questions from that book were in there, wish I studied that earlier. A lot of it is common sense, if you know your terminology they are mostly scenarios, you can pass this test. Good Luck Everybody. This dump is still valid to some extent. You must really understand the concepts for you to pass. Also study 1diot dump also i would say his dump + this one was about 60 to 75 percent of my exam. you really gotta know this stuff to pass. I would say use google and wiki to understand this stuff and also intense studying and you will start to get it. I did it in about 3 weeks...
