Guys I wrote my 801 yesterday passed. This sims here are just accurate and perfect as it is in the exam pls study them hard and also if uve got the 732 801 study exam do that also all the questions are from there. will be writing 802 soon

Just want to say....these SIMS are Valid...I took the 801 exam yesterday and passed! 874 out o 900! I had 5 Sims! Study and Memorize all of them!

1) Set up a router for a library. Other commenters have already talked about this and given tips. The only thing that tripped me up is that the third tab contains a field for entering an administrator password for the router, in addition to the regular router password that is entered on the first tab. I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to enter in the same password as the regular router password in this field or leave it blank.

2) Identify motherboard components. This is a good diagram to study: http://www.build-your-own-computer.net/motherboard-diagram.html. The only parts on the exam that aren’t on that diagram are a PCIe x4 slot and a 4-pin CPU power connector (not the CPU fan).

3) Identify 4 video connectors. The connectors were VGA, DVI, HDMI, and S-Video. This is easy if you know what the video connectors look like. Just do a Google Image search.

4) Range and typical use of Infrared (IR), Bluetooth, and radio frequency (RF). Other commenters have already discussed this.

5) Build a gaming PC and a virtualization PC using a collection of computer components. This is easy if you know that a gaming PC should be the most powerful, with the exception that the virtualization PC requires the most RAM and the most hard drive space. So use common sense and remember that the gaming PC requires the components that would enhance your gaming experience. Also, on my SIM there were only enough parts to fill up both PCs and no extraneous parts, so that helped.

6) Identify which encryption types belong to which wireless security protocols. This was the most difficult one because I wasn’t familiar with some of the options. The wireless protocols are: Open, WEP, WPA, and WPA-CCMP. The encryption standards that you have available to assign to the protocols are: None, RC4, AES, DES, and 3DES. You can assign one encryption to multiple protocols. None of my study material even mentioned WPA-CCMP, DES, or 3DES so I was pretty lost.

The two multiple-choice questions that threw me the most were one asking what type of liquid is used in a liquid cooling system (I thought water but that wasn’t an option), and one question asking for the name of the BIOS feature that requires a password to be entered after the computer POSTs. There was also a question on the wire colors between TIA 568A and 568B standards. Do an image search and memorize the colors on those two. It’s not hard.

In addition to using dumps, I also watched the Professor Messer videos on YouTube and read the Mike Myers book “CompTIA A+ Certification All-in-One Exam Guide.” Another good resource that I haven’t seen anyone recommend is the Comptia A+ EXAM OBJECTIVES ON THE COMPTIA WEBSITE. The objectives give you a list of all the things that you may be tested on. For every item on the list, you should know the definition, speed, range, and number of pins (if those attributes are applicable, of course).


took mine today hours ago,passed with 8** score,SIMS are as discussed in this forum ,atleast REMEMBER them by heart,got stuck with SIMs in begining,which I was expecting seeing the earlier contributoions.Most difficult was Building CAD/CAM,AV Editing and Win Server 2008 PC,lot of options and not mutually exclusive other mentionable SIMS are
1)Bluetooth,IR and Wifi range and usage
2)Configure SOHO with maximum encryption
3)Match off Home Theater,Gaming and Thick client,as recommended by other start off with gaming,rest will fall in place
4)Configure WAP for library with donated router,set admin password/change the channel and disable mac FILTERING.Though NOT SURE if Security was required in this as administrator wanted kind of hassle free log ons from users
5)MOBO (use the computerhope link mentioned in this thread)

MAX OF 10-15 QNS FROM THIS DUMP,some new questions coming along and can be done if your are good concept wise-professionalism,pins,memory configurations -2 qns,few printer-thermal,laser etc

Just took the test last weekend. I didn't use any of the dumps to study with. I just took the practice tests on the comptia site. Passed with a 776 so its not that difficult. however i can say that after looking at these I will in the future. I can at least say that the information from Stas about the sims is still on there, I had the exact sims

Sat for the exam on the 16th of April, Passed with 796/900. Lots of New Questions but the dumps can also help in studying....don't rely solely on dumps...study the approved books. Thanks.

My advice is NEVER depend on dumps! Study and practice past questions.

Focus on SIMS and the rest is easy, trust me.

I have to say that this dump was very little help, as out of 82 questions, only about 10 were in this dump, next 10 was variations, and rest was not from dump.
Anyway, I passed with 818 out of 900, but I want to say that this dump only is not enough for preparations

Hi all l took my exam today and managed to score 750 without answering three simms due to running out of time. The bottom line is to study your simms that is where you have to spend most of your time not on multiple choice. Dumps help a lot study them as well.

hi All....i wrote my exam today and have to say that the SIMS are still valid...few multiole questions came from the vce but still managed to score 802 marks...am very happy.Study the SIMS as posted by others here...but if its your first time writing COMPTIA Exams its really nerve wrecking...GOODLUCK fellow technicians.

Just took the 801, passed with an 832. This dump had only a few questions that were on the actual test. I believe a new one was rolled, this dump was a good study reference but didn't help as much as I thought it would.l

Passed with 809 on saturday, 1/2/2014. This dump is good buh only few quetions came out from it. My advice is that you read on very well for d exam. I recomend rapid review. Some of d questions can be answered using ur intuition. D sims I got were 6 in number: 2 SOHO wireless ntwk config, 2 labs in general pc requirements o1 qs on coverage distance of bluetooth satelite and IR 1 on drag and drop on DVI, HDMI, SVIDEO, VGA. Wish u all d best.

Passed with 809 on 1/2/14..mm I got 6 lab questions, and they were the very first 6 questions I got. Itz good to prepare with dumps but don't focus majorly on it coz most of d multiple choice questions are not in dumps, only some are there. Juz read very well and you'll be able to answer d questions using ur intiution. All thanks to Allah for pointing me towards d rite direction during prep, examcollection and you for your comments. This dump didn't help much the actual test just taken 1/13/2014 was much harder maybe saw 7 questions on actual test. Just mainly focus on the Sims

sim1 build virtual server, cad and audio video editing pc. more hardware than slots.

sim2 virtual pc,thick client and gaming pc. no extra hardware

sim 3 mother board layout - just google motherboard layout and its the first pic exact same.

sim 4 identify connector type -svideo serial dvi and I think hdmi

sim 5 max distance and general use
Bluetooth =100m
infared <100m
sat >100km

sim6 given 2 mother boards for gaming and server.
sim 7 soho library - chick wants it to be basically an open wireless access point don't forget to save

sim 8 soho given all info needed change from wep to wpa change channel and check all tabs before you save.
