Took the exam on 2/16 and passed with a score of 849/900. I did not use any brain dumps (don't trust them!). However, examcollection.com is very useful in finding out what sims to expect. I used Prof. Messer's videos, his study guide (best $10 I ever spent on anything education related!), CompTia exam objectives and a variety of practice question mobile apps (believe it or not, some of these are very useful!). Here are the sims I got:
1)3 AP's, need to configure AP 2. Make sure you select a non-overlapping channel.
2)Match hardware tools with description.
3)Sim with a router, switch, hub and access point-does the device have multiple/single collision/broadcast domains?
4)4 PCs, use ping to determine which ones cannot connect to the server and why (on my exam two of them were able to connect, one needed subnet mask changed and the other needed default gateway changed).
5)Match the correct cable types with two server racks (devices included PC, server, switches)
Suprisingly, I did NOT get the subnetting/CIDR sim, which is what I studied for most! Also did not get the sim dealing with antenna types. Nevertheless, review all sims mentioned on this site, use a variety of resources in your study and you should do just fine.
Took it today passed with a 785/900, There were about only 10 questions from this dump. I honestly don't know how I passed since i have never seen 90% of the questions on that test but I managed. I would recommend you to read new dumps before the exam and my college told me Lead 2 Pass one is more valid. Based on what I have seen on my test this dump is now invalid...but thank you for posting it did help.
I just took the test and passed with 822/900 but i only saw about 10 questions from this dump...the exam has changed (at least for me it did) Had 7 or 8 sims right off the bat, half are new...know your fiber protocols and CIDR...
had the same sims as Frank from Ireland in January...
Know your stuff before taking it
hello!!Please guys are these dumps valid?.... I will be taking my exam on the 23 of september in south africa... Please let me know..
Thanks Roxas. You just saved me a lot of time.
first of all dont believe this fuken dick Ronnie, 10 of us took the test today and nothing of this dump was on the test. this dump not valid
and these sims are not on the test, there are other sims that i never seen before on this test, we all wasted lots of money today and time. hey Ronnie watch your self.
Dump is still valid. Sat today and passed with a 886. All multiple choice came from this dump except for maybe 5 questions, and only 2 sims from this dump were on there. the sims mentioned in previous comments are accurate though.
Is this dump this valid guy? i am having my exam Tuesday....
@ Randy did u take the exam already?
Guys is this dump valid?
Is this still valid in South Africa?
This dump and sims are Not valid.
I took the exam today. All questions and sims were different.
took net + on 7/25. This dump had alot of the questions that were asked. The sims from Ruth and Danielle were spot on. However, they did add two additional sims. one was figuring out the CIDR for multiple departments in a company. Another was match ports and what part of OSI model they matched with. alot of questions on 802.11. Advice is to study proffessor messer videos and go through ruth, danielle dump and you will pass with ease.
Passed the exam with a score close to 900. This was helpful as well as other dumps. Easily practiced over 1500 questions before taking the exam. Most of the questions were similar on those practice exams though. I was averaging 80 questions out of 100 on each practice exam. Although the actual exam had new questions and sims. None of the sims on this exam were there. Don't depend on this dump. Study. Practice. Review. Retake practice exams.
passed today with 839 score. This dump is legit. 80% of the questions came from this dump and only 2 simulations.
Still valid in South Africa. passed with 8xx. one or two new questions and sims but you'll still easily pass. i only studied this dump and nothing else.
I have practiced with this exam, as well as other exams on http://www.aiotestking.com/. I'll be taking the exam on Saturday 07/19. Will come back with an update. Do you get the results as soon as you complete the exam?
Took the exam today 7/11/14, passed with a 820 score using only this dump. most of the questions were in there about 60%. First 8 questions were simulations, 2 of them were in there. This dump is still valide.
took this test today. passed with 8xx. would really recommend this. allot of the questions came from this dump. be sure to check all of the exams
i am in houston texas. took this test on 6/30/2014. the sims were all diffeent except 1, half of the questions werent on this dump and the other half were the same just worded different. i passwed with an 8XX. it did help me a lot in understanding some of the questions. i would advice to use this dump but not depend on just this dump for the test.
Sat the exam today the DANIELLE 534 dump is 100% with working simms. every question and simm was from the dump all 3 of us passed using it with 8xx score
Hello I'm vita from South Africa please my friends I'm writing soon my N+ exam so wanna know if this dump still valid somebody help
Took Net + and scored 8XX...The test goes like this, 8 simulation questions right off the bat (the dumps didn't even have ONE of the sims, pitiful), then the rest MC. Total of 86 questions.
I'll give it to you straight: These dumps only have maybe , MAYBE 10 or 15 questions out of the 86. These dumps are OLD and NOT valid. I even payed $100 for L2P...OLD and NOT VALID.
My advice, read all Professor Messer free study stuff. Know your CIDR. For two weeks and use these dumps as practice. You'll pass, and you'll be glad you listened to me. These dumps need to be updated, OLD. Promise.
Hai guyz, an1 who has recently written the exam to update us on the sims , I hear they are really messin pipo up, m writtin nxt week.
Amanda, do you recall some of the new sims can you post them for me please, I am writing next week and the new sims story is caring me now.
this dump is still available in South Africa, wrote on 06/06/2014 and scored 8XX, few new sims but multiple choice is the same word by word, thanks ruth
Hi guys my A+ and N+ certs state that they are valid through sept 2016. What does that mean? Plz help.
As of may 30th, 2014 this dump is no longer valid. At least not where I took my exam in Charleston, SC. There were MAYBE 10 questions on the exam that were in this dump and NONE of the sims. DO NOT rely solely on this dump like I did. Thankfully I still passed with a 783, but this dump alone will not get you there.
Is this dump still valid?
Took exam on 5/29 using only Ruth's VCE and Professor Messer videos, with SOME work experience. Passed with a great score. Here are some things to look out for:
82 questions, including 8 sims. About 50% of questions were from Ruth's 525q dump.
Sim on which tool to use Toner Prob, Cable Tester, loopback plug, etc. Really easy.
Sim on which wires to use. Two sites 5km apart, a switch and patch panel and PC at each location. Pick from Single Mode Fiber, Cat 6 straight, Cat 6 crossover, Cat 5 straight, Cat 5 crossover, etc. Look beneath the cable choices for further choices of 'optical converters' or something of that nature. You have to drag and drop one of each onto each switch. I wasn't sure so I picked two of the three and dropped one onto each.
Another sim showed two semi-complex networks with ip's, subnets, routers, and and stated that you have to figure out why multiple users weren't connecting. I checked subnets, gateways, DHCP, DNS, couldn't find anything wrong. Check the single item (most likely wasn't a single host)on the two networks that was causing issues. There's a second tab you have to click on to select the reason why it wasn't working, which may help you troubleshoot. Difficult question.
Another sim on where WAP B was replaced and not working properly. Configure settings to match A/C and change channel…other posters have described this in detail
Another question on WAP placement. Two buildings needing parabolic antennas pointed left/right to connect the buildings along with three internal antennas (one omni and two directional).
Another question on 5 different subnets…one had 53 hosts, another 10 hosts, another 14 hosts, etc. You have to pick from a drop down with all the CIDR possibilities /21 /22 /23 /24 /25 /26 etc. for the network that best fits the needs, and then a dropdown box which stated something regarding remaining hosts. Watch Professor Messer's video on Subnetting and practice writing out the chart at the end of the video. I wroted this down as soon as I arrived at the test site so that I didn't have to waste clock time on this, but be careful because you only have a few minutes before you need to start the test. Draw out your OSI model.
A question with 4 computers with two that wouldn't reach the server. Popup screen shows interface with a second tab that allows access to a command prompt. Check the subnets and gateways, verify with IPConfig, and then Ping the server from each one when you are done.
The following sims that were on other's exams were NOT on my exam:
Wire colors 568a/568b was not on there
Collision Domains was not on there
Switch Loop sim (deactivating port(s)) was not on there.
The test asked me questions on RDP 3389 a few times, and 802.1q at least 4 times.
There was a question with 2 of the 4 answers being correct Cat5e/Cat6,
Along with one stating:
Your DHCP lease expires in 14 days. When is the first renewal attempt?
2 days
6 days
8 days
14 days
I thought it was at 50% (7 days) but I guess not.
Another question stated something like “Which layer of the TCP/IP model relates to which FOUR layers of the OSI model?
I picked the closest answer.
Good luck!
Dump is valid as of 5/8/14.
Had 82 total questions with 8 sims. Only 3 of the sims were in this dump but two of the others were mentioned in other comments and i just guessed on the last few sims. Still passed with 856. All questions except for 1 were on this dump.
Thanks Ruth for such a good dump. Memorized all 500+ questions and glad I did.
On a final note. I just remembered one of the sims. You will have to know your T568A wiring. The simulation will ask you to match up the correct color coordination to right slot of the RJ-45 connector. I screwed that up big time! But I still passed.
The other sim is where you have four PCs and will have to click on each one and punch in a command prompt. I didn't understand really what they were asking for but I just typed in 'ipconfig' for every single one of them. It was the one that worked. Because when I typed in any other command prompt such as netstat, nbtstat, it kept giving me an error message. Not sure if what I did was correct or not but still passed even if I flopped this simulation. But this dump by Ruth is valid for most of the questions accept eight(8) of them.
The questions that were on this dump that were on the test were verbatim. Aside from the eight that I counted were not on the dump.
Lots of changes guys on the simulations. Passed today with 839/900. Lowest score for passing is 720. Only four simulations were on there from the dump which was the Q34 regarding the Cable Certifier being the Incorrectly Crimped Cable, the three switches that were improperly connected that need to be enabled Q30, and the one where you have to configure APs. Took me forever to figure out how it worked on the test. You have to click on the AP icon in Buildings 1 & 2 place the direction of the antennas. And the last simulation I can remember from the top of my head is Q31 where you configure AP2 to mode "G" and Channel '11', Speed '100', Duplex 'full'. The other three sims, I can really remember but I'll back and add the tips when I figure it out.
I did keep tick marks of the questions not on the dump and there were eight(8) of them not on the question section that were not on THIS dump by, Ruth. So thank you, Ruth for helping us all out.
Overall, I really sucked at the simulations. I just gave up and said I'll come back next month after restudying. So after flopping the sims, I still passed with 839. This dump is still good fellow nerds. Go get 'em SOON!
On a final note, one sim I just remembered, they ask you to match the picture of the description that fits the tool. I.E. (cable certifier, 110-Block, crimper, toner,) Know what these tools look like and their functions! Good luck nerds!
Scored an 861 today. As Ky mentioned the test bank appears to be changing. only about 60% of the questions were from this dump. Sims were as previously stated with one new one: You are given a class B address and told to subnet it. Using CIDR notation divide it in such a was as to use the LEAST, MINIMAL, amount of space for a 53 host network, a 9 host network, a 12 host network, and a 7 host network. You have t make the selection on each of the routers in a /CIDR notation. Know your subnetting.
Passed with 88X today, question bank must be changing, I got about 50-60% questions near verbatim, the rest were similar but required some actual study, and experience helped too. I got about 9 SIMS, some were covered in comments, others were not. Know your layers and how to connect them, know some transceiver modules, know your subnetting, know well known ports and their functions. Basically study your literature and messer vids and you will be fine. Dumps should be used to practice your acquired knowledge in a simulated environment, having the paper on the wall will help you zero if you cant apply the information in the real world.
Took the exam on 4/10. Scored an 8XX as well. Dump is still valid, focus on sims!
Took test today in GA and scored 8xx. Dump is valid also prior experience helped. 82 questions including 8 sims...
Thanks & Good luck!
Passed april 5th, 2014, with an 873. almost verbatim to the test
Just passed today 5APR14 with an 873 and all i used was this! most questions were verbatim. pay attention to the simulators and know how to subnet.
still good took it today in Maryland and passed with 8xx all the question from this was on the exam. Good luck
Just passed with a 802, most of the questions were on here. Sims where the more difficult ones.
still valid jst passed toda with 8xx
Passed yesterday with an 848. Dump is roughly 90% still word for word with the exam! New questions threw me off a little bit, made a dumb mistake on two of the labs. Best advice is to read a network+ book, use these dumps and have the experience with networks!
I used this dump to help my revision over the last few weeks, and sat the exam on Wed 19 Mar.
I scored 895 and found about 85% of my questions were in this bank.
This is still a valid. I passed with 839 today 03/22/2014. From SA TX
I have been studying this dump and I wonder if some answers on this dump are actually wrong? Please verify as I am taking the test on Next mon! Thanks a million!
This is till valid, just took my test today 03/21/2014 and passed with an 839. word for word, I had problems with some of the scenarios.
Thanks for all the effort put on this dump
Passed with an 882. This dump is still valid. There were a few new questions I didn't see on this dump or a few others.
For sims: know about APs, which cables to use, color codes, CIDR, OSI model layers/devices, and troubleshooting PCs that won't connect to the server.
Took the exam this morning, This Dump valid about 90% of the questions were word for word. Studying this Dump, reading the passport Network+ book, and completing some courseware netted me a score of 856. Please know the material there were about 5-7 new questions that were not here its changing... but with proper studying and mastering the questions presented here you will easily pass. I had 7 sims. A new sim was to match devices such as a punch down tool and cable certifier by their use, there were 5 devices i believe.
Very vailid took test today pass 860 exctly word to word with the dump
Verified. I read the exam cram book and went through these questions 3 times over and scored an 831 today (3/14/14 from Pittsburgh PA) My sims were the same as the port sim on this dump as well as the 3 AP's in an office building that you'll find in this dump. I also had 5 others that dealt primarily with IP address / CIDR / default gateways. Oh and I had one on a CAT5 cable (I think), anyways, it's the same as you'll find in these questions. Thanks for submitting them.
Good luck
How many quiz in exam ?
pass yesterday, this exam is still valid
Can anyone give any specifics of the simulations? (not asking for answers, just details about the simulations)
Passed today, this dump is valid. Same sims as Don Juan. My test had 8 sims AT THE BEGINNING. I skipped those until I finished the regular questions first.
Passed earlier today with an 827. Essentially only used this to study as well as previous knowledge. Setting up the server racks (sim) and Cat5 wire colouring for crimping I got wrong. Other than that it was fairly straight forward.
Thanks for the study guide.
I took the test today and passed with 852, this dump is about 75% accurate for me in the UK
Took test today, scored 865. I mostly used this dump to prepare, that's not to say I simply memorized, rather I used the questions as a basis for what to study/learn. I would say a good 75% (maybe more) of the questions were from this dump, either verbatim or same concept but a little different wording. I had about 6-8 sims, all of the ones I had were discussed by others except for one with various pieces of equipment (toner probe, crimper, etc) and I had to patch the picture with the description. The sim I was most unprepared for was one dealing with CIDR were you had to choose which notation would support a given number of devices for 5-7 different subnets.
Passed with 848
Took this test monday this dump is amazing. Go through all 525 questions 2-3 times and you will pass no problem.. well maybe as long as you have a grasp on the subject.
I had same simulations as don juan
Took test today with an 842. This dump is about 80% accurate, most questions are worded differently with different possible answers so be sure you study and understand all of the topics. If you study this and Anontester dump and understand all of the topics you will have no problem. I use these dumps as a guide and use google, wikipedia, Network+ book, Microsoft Technet to fully understand each topic.
Simulation configuring WAPs. Make sure to use parabolic right and left with CCMP between buildings. And right and left directional on the AP's 1 and 3, and omnidirectonal on AP2.
Simulation about which CIDR subnet to use for company for various dept's Accounting had 32 computers, marketing 56, sales 16, IT 9. Then it asks what is the largest remaining CIDR block you have remaining of the class C network. I put /26 as the answer for the remaining block.
Simulation had various devices asking which layers of the OSI they fit into. Hub, Switch, Managed Switch, VPN concentrator, router, caching Server, bridge, proxy server, firewall.
Simulation about what type of cables to go from server to patch panel, patch panel to switch, and switch to switch.
Lastly I had a simulation in which switches were plugged together in a loop, just had to disable 2 ports so they don't loop.
I passed today on 2/18/14. I got a 852 from only studying this exam. About 95% of the questions were from this dump. The simulations I remember was to make sure you know the color scheme for T-568B. You also needed to know what layers (1-6) do these items fall under: hub, switch, server, network card, router. Thats all I can remember. Some of the new questions were not too hard just use your best judgement. The other simulators had like 4 pcs that you needed to use command prompt and insert the ip address and subnet correctly to talk to the server. Wish everyone the best and Good luck!!!!
I don't know about question like
"Which of the following source ports is MOST likely to be used by a client when making an outbound TCP connection to a windows server?"
A:80
B:445
C:3000
D:3389
Answer: C
and question like
"Which of the following wiring distribution types, often found in company closets, is used to connect wiring from individual offices to the main LAN cabling?"
A:MDF
B:66 block
C:IDF
D:Patch panel
Answer: D
I have a feeling that there is bunch of questions with bad answers.
Dump is still Valid. Just did test. 848/900 There was a few sims not on this test, one about wap in a building and some others. Also the simulation about what item was being used and the result(cable certifier & crimped wrong) also asked you to redo the cables.
Overall I suggest this braindump.
@ mondre which sims didi you find on your exam?
which sims are 2 sims are valid on this dump
Toke my exam today 11\02\2014 and scored 845 must say this dump is 100% vaild
This dump is valid - just passed with an 860. I bombed all the sims, but the questions are on the money. Thanks Ruth!
Just passed on 3 Feb with this dump - it's as valid as it gets. If you memorize all the questions you'll be alright. I think I bombed all the scenarios and still passed with an 860. Thanks Ruth!
Hi guys is this dump valid and if so r you guys passing?
I am taking the test in 2 weeks if I study Papu/annon/ruth will that be enough and i have 4 years expirance as network admin???????
please someone help.
is this still valid?
passed with 874/900. This dump is 100% valid but I also know my stuff after doing this at work for past 3 years.
this dump is very valid . all the questions were from the dump but three SIMs i didnt see on any of the dump but it wasn't very hard
Ruth's is 100% accurate. Check AnonTester for the sims.
This dump is maybe 30-40% accurate, if you study Ruth/Pappu/Anontester you should be ok for about 70% of the questions. There are now loads of new questions and three new simulations.
- Server RACK You have to choose the right cables(Ethernet + Fiber) to connect two new sever racks together. I think I got this one wrong. Know where to use CAT5/CAT5e/CAT6/Straight Through/Cross over/Fiber.
- Server troubleshooting - You have 4 Computers that cannot connect to two servers, figure out why, fix and make sure with commands. You have to change various things like gateways/Subnets/etc.
- Wireless Antenna - Know all about antenna, e.g Dipole/Omnidirectional antenna/ etc...
The other sims on the dumps are vaild. The questions are maybe 30/40% right. Good luck!
Hi, could anyone tell me if this dump is valid? writing on Friday.
Thank you so much. This is a great brain dump and was very helpful
Valid 100% took in on the 11th and passed
Is this dump Valid?
