I used actualtest dump, but that covered about 40% of the exam. I had some previous experience, so by God's Grace, I passed. Yes, do read a book or two before taking the exam. Anyone who has MSDOS experience, will fall in love with Linux.

Travis, whenever you took the test, how did you answer the fill-in-the blank questions? Did you write the entire answers down, or did you just provide one of the numerous solutions. For example: How many partitions? 4,Four

Or did you put one or the other, or both?

I'm wondering if you get penalized for writing the entire or more than one right answer down.

I took the LX0-101 test on 3/31/2014 and passed with a 560. Minimum passing score is 500 so pretty close. I'd say this covered 60% of the questions word for word. All the text answers were correct so I really appreciate that. It was close enough to get me a pass though so thanks Dorothy!!

Does anyone know if this VCE covers 101 AND 102? Or just 101?

The valid dumps for both exam are by Blue from LPI.

I am also studying to take this in the next 2 weeks. I would like to know how relevant this still is. I have never used these so I am very reluctant.

If I understand it correctly.
There’s a lot of new questions on the current exam that this brain dump doesn’t cover.
My plan is to take the LX0-101 and LX0-102 tests back-to-back. I’ve gone through and studied the Comptia Linux+ study book and now I’m planning to go through this brain dump and the brain dump Ajaxx posted for LX0-102.
Is this the same strategy others have used to pass these 2 exams? The more I read the more I understand that this brain dump covers both exams?

Passed today with 660 score. Could be better. Saw many questions not included here. For instance: where yum stores files similar to sources.list in apt; or how to update whole system with yum or what xargs command does. Question about piping and regular expressions...
Generally this fileset is good for preparing but dont treat it as a 1:1 towards exam.

I took the exam yesterday (17.11.2013) here in Brazil and is 100% valid. It is also good to study the LPI by BMF

No longer a valid dump. Studied this dump only and scored 450. Only about 1/2 of the questions on the exam are in this dump.

Has anyone used this for both 101/102? Or should this be used in addition to one of the dumps under 102? I’m now cramming for the LX0-101/102 exams.

These dumps appear to be good but as pointed out by Tiffgurl it contains dumps for both 101 and 102 exam of LPI-1. It is hard to differentiate them if you are only taking first exam.

Secondly it is complaining about visual certexam version issue while i am using version 3.0 which is not an very old itself.

Can anybody help please?

With what version of visual certexam did you open this file ?
I have 1.5 and 1.9 and it wont work it says it need an older version

Are the answers really in Capital letters? I just find it odd seeing that the linux commands are case sensitive.

This looks to contain both 101 and 102 questions fyi. I'm not complaining, just letting everyone know :) It's a great dump btw. First one I've found that has answerable fill-in the blank questions.
