Republicans across the US just cheered in excitement.

Nothing is better than Election Interference when you're a Republican.

Trump just earned himself 90+% Republican approval from his actions and his announcement.

Then we should listen to Trump and not push for more main-in-ballot? Increase early voting with reserved days for seniors and sick people? and Since younger people can come out in troves for "peaceful demonstrations", they can go to polling stations too, righjt? Oh wait, that would be too logical, never mind.

Early in person voting is a great idea, letting at risk voters participate with much lower exposure. However, my polling place is in a school, so that kind of negates the option to vote early and avoid crowds. I signed up for a mail in ballot, and intend to fill it out and mail it as soon as possible.

Republicans tend to vote by mail far more than Democrats. Trump's moronic actions-actions which fly in the face of everything that makes USA the unique and successful democracy it is (was?) will almost certainly hurt the GOP as much or more than it hurts the Democrats. In the end democracy and the USA will be hurt the most. Trump, OTOH, will gain by proving what he claims nearly every day-the election is rigged (by him).

If it proves conclusively that his voter suppression and misuse of government captures the White House for him again, the Democrats can ram through an impeachment if they can re-take the Senate. That still seems extremely uncertain.

Then, if it proves conclusively . . . . . . I'm 100% for taking up arms and overthrowing the Trump regime with merciless violence. Period. The Red State Filth should be forced to watch his execution on the TV. And . . . civics classes everywhere. Then, we won't have these problems for another 100 years.

How about we do both, and stop trying to suppress voter turn out. It's the logical choice in a democratic free society. Of course, the more people that vote the less and less likely Republicans will win, so we can't have that now, can we.

I wonder how many years it will take for "honest patriotic republicans" to stop pretending these things aren't/didn't actually happen(ing).

"Look, I'm very smart. You wish you thought of it, but you didn't. I did. If you want to control voting, you break the postal system. It's very smart!"

The fact that POTUS publicly says these things is yet another article for shipping his ass off to den Hague.

“Now they need that money in order to make the post office work, so it can take all of these millions and millions of ballots,” he said. “But if they don’t get those two items, that means you can’t have universal mail-in voting, because they’re not equipped to have it.”

I feel like we’re still waiting for the other shoe to drop on this story. Trump doesn’t just care about mail in ballots—he needs to limit voting period. I think his current policy will drive voters that despise Trump & younger voters (likely Dems) to do in-person voting. GOP voters (who overwhelmingly vote by mail) will likely continue to vote by mail in roughly the same numbers as before.

So how will they limit in-person voting then? We’ve already seen some GOP-controlled states limit polling locations (and now drop box locations) and this will likely continue. But even in blue states, you run the risk of not getting enough volunteers to staff some polling locations due to the pandemic. What happens to the electorate if you start to see “senior only” hours at polling locations (similar to what grocery stores started doing?)

I expect to see more dirty tricks closer to the election. Especially looking at Florida, Georgia, Texas, Arizona, Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin.
