Was wondering if the fan controller would still work if I remove the LEDs completely (they are way too bright)? Also for those that replaced the LCDs, did you have to break the original ones off (and wire the new one on), or do they pop out of the socket?
43.6 db at the high speed sounds about right.
they arent going to magically make a fan that does 95cfm that is significantly quieter than the other ones on the market (and db is logarithmic scale as well). I think 63cfm should be more in the 30db range (panaflo ~65cfm 120x38mm fans are 30-31db).
how about a well designed function over form case? Something like a simple front bezel, 120mm fan in the front/rear, room for 120x38mm fans. HD rack in front of the front fan, removeable motherboard piece, and whatever small things that make a case nice... without the extra aesthetic things that...

(i hope this shows up properly, these are all panaflo 120mm fans)
I'm curious...
someone stated their 6a19 came with 1 fan from directron in another post somewhere. But either way I personally do not mind having 1 or zero since I would want panaflo or another brand for a case fan, and something that moves a different amount of air than the ones given.
A little OT, but does...
yea, this is my question exactly, just phrased better.
I'm sure it will stop most fans under 4v or so, but I want to know specifically if the heat just gets soaked up and wasted or if it cuts power completely?
so it actually cuts power to that particular connector? I'm just worried about burning out the unit since I plan to switch them off frequently and don't want it to just generate heat/resistance to kill the unit.
I want to know if switching the knob all the way to 0v actually turns off power to that fan, or does the controller simply provide enough resistance so all of the power is dissipated as heat on the fan controller?
does the case from directron come with that front panel USB/sound unit? or is it an accessory you have to purchase? did it come with any case fans? and lastly do 38mm thick fans fit in the front/rear?
does the ad specifically state CAS2? can you confirm its designed for CAS2 in the SPD??
i picked up the corsair stick a few weeks ago from frys taht someone else said was CAS2 in their hot deal thread. The ad was just general with PC3200 ram. when i got the stick it was "value RAM" and timings...
