Why most prefer Win98SE over WinME?

Ram heatsinks --- better overclocking?

Weren't the heatsinks on the Herc taped on with thremal tape? If so the epoxy that merlocka used probably gives better heat transfer to the heatsink and maybe thats why he noticed a difference.

WinME security

try going to Start=>Settings=>Taskbar and Start Menu=>Advanced=>Clear removes links in the start documents folder and clears internet addresses from the pull down web address thingy in your browser, but doesn't delete your history or temporary internet files.

back up 8 gigs?

I want to raid two 30 gig drives, but currently one of them is my primary drive with 8 gigs of info that I absolutely cannot lose. Is there any easy way that I can back up my data? I have an rw but it'll take 12 700mb discs to back up all my info! If I don't back it up the data will be lost when...

I'm just starting computer programming class and we were talking about binary code. How exactly does the computer know the difference between a number and a letter since every letter is assigned a certain number(ASCII right?)? My teacher couldn't answer but I know someone on here will know :)

Water cooling advice needed...which things to get?!

Zippy if you use a peltier it really should be watercooled because of the EXTREME amount of heat that is given off. A 72 watt peltier(I wouldn't get anything lower) gives off a lot of heat. Add to that the heat being transferred and you can end up with anywhere from 170F upward. If the peltier...

Sorry, I remembered seeing this at amdzone and just did a quick search and brought it up. I should've looked at it better. The numbers do appear messed up. The only explaination I can think of is a early bios version or it's bs. I also remember something that the via chipsets have poor memory...
