Minimum CPU for Youtube 4K?

I have an i3-2100, 8GB. Win7 Assume I have a 4k monitor, display port, and a graphics card that supports 4k. What is the minimum CPU I need to download, then watch Youtube 4k videos using VLC or some other software program? If I have a graphics card that supports 4k, does the cpu matter? If so...

Encrypt/Decrypt Do I need the same software?

If I encrypt a portable HD using Truecrypt on a windows machine, can I decrypt the HD on a Linux or OSX machine using some other encryption/decryption software? (Yes I know the password.) Thanks

i3 2100 & video card or an i5 2500

Looks like I'll go the i3 route. The i5-2400, ~$190, is almost double the price of the i3 and I don't think I'll see the difference. Thanks.

If I spend $200, what would be better: an i3 2100 plus a $100 video card(maybe a 6770 or better. Missed the newegg sale.) or an i5 2500k using the Intel HD Graphics 3000? Probably will get 8GB ram($35), and a MB for $75 - $100. I've read that the i5 is all the rage, but is it overkill...

Windows 7: Highlighted files become unhighlighted

I went from XP to Windows 7 64-bit. I sort my videos by size, pick about 4GBs to burn to a DVD. I then sort by Name so I may add some text files about the larger files. But as soon as I click on Name, the highlighted files become unhighlighted. Am I missing something? Am I doing something...
