I'm not interested in OCing but I hope the availability of the 680i is better than the 590 SLI. It has been about two weeks and nobody has the Asus board featuring the chipset. personally I think its b.S. that no one beside Asus even felt like making the board simply because it had lousy OC...
the 3500 could be considered value while the x2 can be considered value dual core. otherwise consider that the 3500 will be faster if you run one app at a time or primarily just run non dual core enabled games.
the x2 runs like a 3200 in non dual core games but handles multitasking very well...
Has anyone seen the p5b-v and does anyone think it would make a good board for gaming? zipzoom has them back oder for $99. I am thinking about pairing it up with an e6700 and a 7950gx2 for a "budget" build.
if you're sticking with your current mb maybe pick up a 4800x2 and either a 7900gtx or the big daddy 7950 gx2 that shoul;d whip your games into shape for a while
