6800 GT @ 410/1100. This happens when i use Coolbits as well and doesn't seem to matter what driver its running on. Basically when I set the 3D OC in Rivatuner the 2D memory clock gets overclocked as well for some reason. Or in reverse if I try and return the 2D memory back to default the 3D...
Im hardly a OC'ing wiz but I think AS5 is just fine. I use it for both my CPU and my GPU. You dont have to worry about it being conductive, just apply it with some common sense (ie dont use it like finger paint :)). Both will do the job though.
Thanks for the reply guys. Do any of you use Live Update to flash? Is it reliable? My floppy drive is rather inconsistent at reading floppy disks so Im kind of hesitent to use it for a bios flash.
I guess this is finally the bios that "officially" supports Venice/Diego. Was wondering if anyone flashed and can report positive/negative. Ive stuck with 1.5 since I got the board/chip, and Ive had good performance overall but have experienced a couple wonky things here and there that may or...
Im not sure what you mean here. 40mhz penalty of the max FSB or just the overall estimated max OC of the chip?
Couple more questions I have. Is 1024 x 2 @ 1T that much better than 512 x 4 @ 2T performance wise in games?
Also if I decide on getting another pair of 512 sticks does it have...
Is there a verdict on this or does it very greatly? I run a somewhat modest 2.6ghz on my 3500+ Venice for everyday use. Its completely stable and although the ram is value ram (G.skill) Im pretty happy with the performance. Im considering getting an extra gig for the system soon and Im aware of...
Not to be a smartass but EA bought Dice to publish them. Not develop for them. They are a publishing company first and foremost. And from what Ive heard Dice's team is pretty much in tact since being acquired. So I fail to see how any problems attributed to this game can be reduced to EA having...
Well Dice is the developer. Not EA. EA doesn't make games, they publish them. Lots of them. They have lots of different developers under their wing, both good and bad. You cant really paint them with a wide brush.
As for Dice's talent, they make great games but I dont think anyone would...
For those with 1 Gig and say you run the game smoothly with little hitching, what maps are you playing on? I find that makes a significant difference. For example on the Karkland 64p map I get some hitching but not enough to ruin the gameplay. But on the huge Dam map and equally gigantic FuShee...
Not to be anal but I said between 8xAF and 16xAF. In other words if you're going to max out AF I dont see a point going past 8x anyway. But 4xAF would probably be the best middle ground between IQ and performance.
Good to see you're getting better performance. Personally I cant even tell the difference between 8xAF and 16xAF. Even 4x to 8x isn't that noticable unless you're looking for it. I think 16x is just plain overkill. Try 4xAF if the flatter textures in the distance bother you, you'll get better IQ...
Its being forced because its not an option in the game, or what Scott Evans was referring to as "Max Settings" with those specs. Im sure there's an IQ benefit but 16AF will definitely impact performance, especially with this type of draw distance. Try it with it off and see if its smoother.
