a major problem of this is the loss of the best cooling tech. e.g. Twin Forzer from MSI is no longer available for AMD cards as Gaming X branding is now reserved for nv: https://www.msi.com/Graphics-cards/#?tag=RadeonTM-RX-Vega64
oops. sorry, grabed the wrong link.

I think most of the issues with dual ranked and/or non-b-die ram have been solved. got my friend a hynix 3200C16 ram and it works fine since AGESA 1.0.0.6, especially on upper mid range boards (£100 or more)
another note on dual ranked RAM is that they are faster than single ranked RAM...
AMD "datasheet" says the value should never go above 1.05v. Thats an effective range of 0.9-1.05v. So I actually wonder how effective it is. and they say lower value is better for stability.
just install the new 1.0.0.6 BIOS. I have to say, its like getting a new CPU altogether!
Got my GSkill 3000C14 running at 3466 strap at 15-15-15-36-2T @ 1.375v and SoC@1.1v!
huh? if its worst case scenario, why quote it? this is the second time in last two days that I noticed you are representing worst case (sometimes unrealistic ) as being the norm. the other time with the -55 to 120C temp fluctuations.
seems like you got tangled in all the misinformation that you...
1. exactly, it does not see extra threads.
2. changing goalpost when it suits.
3. Did not realize it was opensource. I would if it increased the productivity of my workload.
Why do you reckon the i5 vs i7 results are so close? Lol
I am no professional coder, but even my codes can utilize 24 threads.
Its funny how Intel fanboys, yes fanboys, are always changing the goal posts. Before ryzen they used to get blisters on their typing figures quoting cinebench scores...
There is no need to act like I shot your puppy.
They sold 400+ million devices from store? Who buys stuff at store?
These number are also sold to companies. Do you reckon anyone would buy their service if their internal record din add up with the vgchart?
Anyway, do a survey of random ppl and...
This is really off topic. But I don't get why it comes as a surprise. Consoles are cheaper, low maintenance and last longer. All pc games have going is better grafix and hackers ruining multiplayer games. When kids are young, their first going machine is almost always a console. Even at high...
while he did not specify how he killed his other 2 chips, i believe he specifically mentioned about registers and caps on the edge of the pcb, which i believe he nicked accidentally as he did not know they were there.

Intel CPUs down clock themselves when it is running AVX codes irrespective of temps. So the effect should be not be anything that is different from normal usage.

1. so? its showing the 7700 which has problems.
2. Yes, you the one arguing wihout any proof or real life demonstration what so ever
3. So?
4. So? read the link yourself please: "thermal cycle is performed by going from -55 °C to 125 °C while each temperature is hold [held] for 15 minutes"...
and your point is? micro cracks will occur due to stress caused by rapid spike/fluctuations temps. the magnitude of the spike and the freq are the main concerns and not the maximum attainable temp, there are solder pads that work just fine at 200C. true, the lower limit will mean lower magnitude...
