Can one 670 2gb power 3 monitors?

I went Radeon last time with a 6870 so I could do 3 monitors on one card (both for extended and surround/eyefinity). I recently replaced it with a GTX 660 ti and it works fine in both surround and regular extended desktop modes with all 3 displays (I have 3x 24-inch panels).

hypothetical: nvidia in a console -> more physX titles?

All of the current consoles already run PhysX (the CPU vs GPU PhysX distinction is not as relevant to the consoles).

New space strategy games on steam

Endless space is a very solid 4x game. I've been playing it since Alpha and feel like I got my money's worth.

Read his comment again. Windows 7 will still prompt to change to basic mode when it detects low performance. Now, the detection may not be all that accurate, so there is no guarantee that you won't have "low-performance" events that it does not detect.

Why resolution blockages?

It's significantly harder/expensive to scale up the sizes of screen technologies. It's not like a semiconductor fab, where you can plan on disabling certain parts of the product that don't pass validation and sell it as a crippled version. If you have too many dead pixels, you have to throw...

I wouldn't even bother with any mods(those are typically tougher to install as you have to splice together resource files to use more than one) as most of the common complaints aren't present. There are enough ships in vanilla to keep you busy, and most of the engine/mechanics stuff is at least...

X3: Albion Prelude on Steam

Doesn't really. You still control a single ship at a time(I think you can hire merc wingmen, but that's the extent of the multi-ship ownership) and I don't believe there is a universe-wide sim going on like in X3. I've tried the demo of EM and just couldn't get into it.

There's no reason to assume that. The GTX 260 192sp and core 216 variants could be SLI'ed together just fine. Unless they have overhauled SLI detection in the drivers since I jumped onto my 6870, the driver still mostly cares about the model string matching when deciding if it will allow you...
