**QuixoticOne**... It is a digital tuner and it can tune to any channel. That is the feature I liked most.
I can't speak directly to the bit rates, as I don't pay that much attention, but I know I had a variety of bit rates and didn't see any problems.
If memory serves...It seemed to...
Thanks for the heads up... JS & welcome back.
*Brief Product Review based upon my experience* I bought one of these from the Geeks earlier this summer & it works pretty well. From time to time when a song may sound garbled & really fast like a chipmunk on speed, but it was fixed by either...
Thanks for the heads up...Looks good, Would much rather have one of these Antec's over the eagletech ones that the egg was selling a week or so ago for $40 AR (from my own personal experience).
Thanks for the post... Unfortunately the link to the rebate doesn't appear to be working at this time. But I figured wwkd (what would Karaktu do), so pulled the trigger anyway and snagged one while they were still available and work out the rebate form kinks later.
Very cool, yet sad! Wish the coin ops were going to be available for online bidding. May have to make a phone call later this week & see if proxy bidding is an option.
I'd love the chance to upgrade the pins I have, but doubt I could afford the "jing" these would fetch, not to mention the...
fyi.. Looks like you can get it on Frys.com for $29.99 plus shipping, too. Thanks for the heads up on Fry's, esquared and also for the heads up at the egg, pontifex.
Good Find!
Thanks for pointing out, hans007, but if this is the same chasis that I think it is, you will need a half height pci card or do some modifications ala dremel tool to the video card you linked to.

Very intriguing. I think it's a little on the ugly side, IMHO, otherwise could be a fun rig. Thanks for the 411, funboy42!
Here's a link I found to a thread somewhere else with what appears to be info about these.
linky
Ok, it appears as though the link above isn't to the exact...
Hi all
Here's a new one (for me anyway).
I do occassional work for a company (non profit with limited property insurance) whose office burned and am trying to figure out whether it's cost effective & feasible to salvage a handful of computers (mostly Dell's that are less than 2 yrs old)...
Looks like an interesting product... what I am curious about is the call handling functionality. On the Smith Micro site it states
What caller id # comes thru on those transferred calls?
Does it come thru as your home phone number or as the phone number of the party being transferred...
just a quick fyi... I saw this in store at the Costco in my excellent compatriot Rapids, MN yesterday for the price posted by the OP. They didn't have it powered up, but looked like it had promise.
I would guess you could use something like the Belkin F5D8000 in your desktop computer. But instead of using the wireless card provided by Belkin with the kit, I would hope you could use the card provided by Cingular to give the primary workstation internet access and then share the internet...
