I was wondering if anyone knows of some software that plays DVDs that is free, or shareware and allows you to watch for a certain amount of time. My ATI DVD Player has ceased to work (I'm in college, the disc is at home), and I want to watch this movie I rented!!! Any links would be...

Excel Date Autoformat

Does anyone know how to disable it? Trying to enter fractions into cells and the damn thing keeps converting it to dates. Hell, it even converts decimals into dates... (since when has .25 = Janurary 0, 2000??) Thnx

Visiontek MX400 BIOS update for winxp?

I read on the ABIT website that nVidia MX200/400 VGA adapters with an old BIOS cause a freeze upon installation. I have a visiontek MX400, and am wondering.... how the hell do I update the BIOS? I can't find anything but drivers on their website. Thanks

Notebook Carrying Case...

Any hard shell cases out there? Those look pretty cool, if I can't get a hard case I guess I'll go for one of those + the shoulder strap so it's not in my backpack.

Kenwood TrueX Problems w/ Windows

Let me rephrase. It's currently secondary master, without any slave on that channel. I had to update to the latest firmware in order for windows to allow me to check DMA. Still no go. Kenwood 52x for 10x?+ DVD Drive...

It's currently secondary master. I dunno what's up with this. Anyone want ot trade a decent DVD drive for this Kenwood 52x? Oh im using a abit kt7 raid (kt133), is there somewherein the BIOS i need to enable something?

Ok guys, I've got 2 options here...

No offense, but those games are going to be unplayable on that system? I mean, come on. God forbid you run in 8x6. Try a format and reinstall, save 500 dollars for something meaningful in the long term, and just wait. Sigh. Sure its not 1.7Ghz or whatever, but I bet it can run those games...

MSI Starforce (815), what is mem latency?

Hey all, anyone know what speed the memory is on the MSI Starforce? I looked on the chips but it doesn't have a -5 or whatever to designate their latency. I heard the 815Pro uses 5ns... not sure about the plain 815 though. Thnx.

Netscape Users, Need Info

yea, I just downloaded 4.75 from the netscape ftp... and it worked fine.. Now to hope that my school is using a version prior to 4.76 and I'll be good to go. Thnx for info all.
