    The problem was you could only find gear capable of surviving in Inferno, in Inferno. And even there it was rare. I used entirely self found gear, and was stuck at about MP2 by the time I quit. Struggling for months and never finding anything useful isn't fun.

    There used to be one years ago called Sea Dogs that I always wanted to try, but never had a good enough PC. Then a while back they started working on a sequel but it got turned into a Pirates of the Caribbean game :( I do love Sid Meier's Pirates though, so that gets my vote.

    The problem with the AH is that it catapults players through the end game; they get gear that's better than 99.999% of the stuff they find on their own and their DPS is ten times higher than that of people who don't buy their gear.
