Is the rebate in the form of a AMEX pre-paid card? The last time I did this deal through Amazon, the rebate came in the form of a AMEX pre-paid - which isn't too bad if you have a cell phone bill to pay off - but others may not like it that it's not a check.

6/14/11 Steam Midweek Madness: Darkspore 40% off

On the first week of release, the game was available at Fry's retail stores for $34.99, so it's not really that shocking of a price tag. Also this game grows on you - me and my wife have been playing it for the last 2 weeks quite a bit. Different strokes different folks.

Monthly fee for Steam, how much would you pay

New C&C in the works

Ditto, exactly how I feel. Lots of Lan nights, money matches and all around fun with C&C 3. The competitive scene was there - and that's what makes an RTS fun IMO. In any case, not sure what to think about another C&C. C&C 4 was suppose to be the "end all be all" for the franchise, so...

8GB vs 4GB

Same. I got 16GB recently since I just upgraded to SB. It wasn't a smart or rational decision but rather influenced by current Ram prices being so low there's really no need to argue the point. Now if only SSD's would drop by $100 across the board, we'll be in business.

Socket 1155 cooler recommendation?

I'm using the same exact RAM on my ASUS P8P67 since Fry's had a sale of it here in SoCal recently. On the initial release BIOS (04xx something I believe) it only detected 8GB of ram. When I updated to the latest BIOS, it saw all 16GB.
