Your efforts are not unusual with the Ninja. A local computer shop suggest that after putting the 1 pea-sized glob in the middle to spread it evenly with your index finger. I then had someone else look to make sure I had spread it evenly with no overflow of the edges.

Just wanted to post a quick "thank you" for all who have appended to this topic. I received my replacement HSF from Asus yesterday. Everything went as smootly as I could have hoped thanks to what I had read here.
A couple of notes for those who hadn't done this before:
- If you've never...
The A8N32-SLI uses a heat pipe for cooling instead of a motherboard fan. I wonder if between that heat pipe and the Cooling Freezer 64's heat pipe/fan system, if there is enough air flow inside the case? If I understand correctly, the CPU *fan* is supposed to help dissipate some of the heat...
Did onrebate go out of business? Phone and email was not answered on Monday and their website produces blank pages right now.

About a year from now is when I will probably...
I'm trying to figure out the best solution for an High Definition recording and editing platform. I was hoping a few of the more knowlegible people in this forum could provide some opinions.
I am putting together a system around an A8N-SLI Deluxe MB. Since HD editing eats up memory, I...
Thanks for the reply! At the risk of sounding like the latest newbie, would a Venice 3800+ be a better choice than a Clawhammer 4000+? I'm trying to weigh the extra 1MB of L2 cache in the 4000+ versus the better memory controller in the Venice 3800+ (versus waiting for a San Diego 4000+)...
I am (slowly) building a system around the A8N-SLI Deluxe MB and the last thing on my purchase list is the processor. With the 4000+ San Diego core coming out on the 15th, I have a couple of questions that I hope someone would know the answer to...
