I have a noise too.. Rubbing sound from front left wheel well

My money is on a bad right front wheel bearing....normally the noise will get louder loaded and quieter unloaded. Turning left loads the right front and turning right unloads the right front....

How to fix stripped oil pan plug? *UPDATED*

that pan looks like its rusting thru...alot of fords and early to mid 90's chevys did that... looking at the photo enlarged...its definitely rusting out...clean the pan off with brake clean and watch it leak thru the rust...will only take a few minutes to start i bet

its against federal law to put a used converter on a car...also, if the car is California emissions, its against the law federally and by California to put a 49 state converter, new or used, on a California car

I only have one last comment/question on this. if this is so good, so many benefits, why oh why isnt the manufacturer using it, why doesnt the EPA put its stamp of approval on it? I will not accept any conspiracy theories as evidence of why its not being used... if I didnt know...

number one, cars pwered by propane were retrofitted or built for it. so they have the proper components for saftey. a modern ac system designed for r12 or r134a doesnt. number two.. millions of cars have missing or rotted out heat shields. many ac hoses are routed near exhaust and hot...

propane?!?!?!?! you are aware that this is EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE! if you have a leak, it will most likely ignite, and if you have a catastrophic leak, like a hose bursting or compressor blowing apart (like the recent fords have done) it will explode under the hood with all the propane in...

if it has the coil spring between the lower control arm and frame, then the lower control arm must be supported as close to the ball joint as possible to check the ball joints this is the method for your Crown Vic we have had a number of these in the shop with broken lower ball joints...they...

there is no one method for checking ball joints, if your car has a macpherson strut style of suspension(coil spring around the strut), the tires need to hang in order to properly diagnose the ball joints... if it has the coil spring between the lower control arm and frame, then the lower...

this is actually not true....the tolerances in todays engines are actually tighter than ever, it is less friction that is the key to more horsepower and better mileage. this is why todays oils are so much better on the molecular level than oils your dad and his dad. Mobil One is not what alot...

late model chryslers are notorious for this high oil consumption at highway speeds...it all goes back to the low tension piston rings, especially the oil control ring...all made low tension to combat friction and raise miles per gallon... they havent figured out the balance yet..the dealerships...

Rear noise in JGC 2000...

the noise you are hearing is caused be the ring and pinion gears, they wear terrible on the jeeps the big tipoff is that it changes under acceleration and deceleration. i have 2 differentials in the shop now doing exactly that, one is a 35th anniversary edition camaro and the other is a 03...
