Is 68dB Really Loud?

I'm definitely slapping a grill on that thing and it's going straight into my fan control panel. My PSU will eat this fan for breakfast so I'm prepared for it.

Getting no CPU temp readings

How many wires does the Panaflow fan have coming out of it? It needs a third yellow wire which is used to monitor fan RPMs.

SATA worth the $$$

Stick with your PATA drives and don't swap out the drives until HDD's actually take advantage of it. The only advantage right now is that some SATA is hop-swappable and the cables are smaller. But then again, most cases aren't convenient for hot-swapple drives etc. So just stay with what you...

I can sleep with constant noise, it's just the intermittent stuff like car alarms, clock alarms, etc that bothers me. Actually, if it drowns out the noise from the apartment above me, that would rock. Like I said, my fan controller will drop the speed by half and that should get rid of the noise.

*bangs head* I have an Aerocool Gatewatch that will drop that sucker to around 2000 RPM and about 30 dB. I want it. I want it bad. This plus my XP-120 will be the pinnacle of air cooling.
