I'm with Idontcare on this, one, someone needs to buy AMD's chips so that Intel has to price competitively, just as long as it's not me. though I'd be just as floored if AMD released a higher end offering that could compete with Penryn and Nehalem

Ok so I ran the overnight FSB testing using the prescribed settings, HARDLOCK, after approx 40 minutes, went to bed around 12:45am, came in this morning and the clock was stuck at 1:20am so this morning I tried to up the MCH and FSB voltage as suggested and now when I run blend it reboots...

I would say get the E8400 if it's for gaming, right now probably the best dual core out there and at a really good price. best bet if you're not wanting to or don't feel comfortable OC'ing will get the most out of an 8800GT at stock speed of 3.0Ghz, from my experience, I was bottlenecked at...

What PSU should go with my new system? Do I really need a lot of watts?

I've got the HX520 and I'm glad I paid a bit extra to get a modular PSU, makes a big difference with cable management, even SLI ready assuming your cards aren't power hogs.
