ATI 4xxx, HDMI Audio : questions

I'm building a new HTPC, but have some questions as I've never pushed everything via HDMI before. ATI 4650 w/ HDMI output to reciever Onkyo 606 w/ HDMI to TV So, let's say I fire up a game on the PC...will the sound from a game automatically be passed on to the reciever via the ATI card...

new system stability problem

Just swapped out memory for Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800...had to set voltage to 2.15 to get it to boot. We'll see how this works...haven't gone a full day without a crash, so it shouldn't take long. I also have a corsair tx650 PSU standing by if this doesn't do the track. Keeping my fingers...

I'm hoping someone else has run into this, or maybe have helped someone in the same situation. I recently built a new system, and I've been having odd problems (BSOD's...mostly 0x0000000a, hangs, etc)...here are the specs: Asus P5E (right out of the box, no mods, bios 0702) Intel e8400...

Thanks to both for responding. I really do like my current Onkyo, and I'm thinking this should be a nice step up. I'll start hunting for a good price on this unit. As far as speakers, I'm thinking these need to be refreshed as well. I have the standard speakers that came with the HTIB...
