Hi,
Just a quick question. Does anyone know if the MSI RS482M4-ILD is able to support PC3200 400MHz ECC Non-Reg DDR Memory that says it is meant for a server? An acquiantance told me that it supports both desktop and server memory, but I am unsure. I did look at the MSI page for the...
I am using this for my NASLite-M2 x64 system... The more the better as I really notice an improvement in transfer speeds having upgraded the NAS from a Intel PIII 600 MHz with 1.5GB of ram to this Dual CPU motherboard with 12GB of RAM.
Thank you all for your help and input :)
Hi nenforcer,
I caught my mistake in the title after I had posted the question. I have the KS8D Pro (I missed adding the 'D' after the '8') S2882-D.
Awesome! I was aware of supporting the Dual Core Opteron, but was unsure if it would support multiple Dual Core CPUs.
Thank you :)
Hi All,
Just wondering if my dual cpu board (Tyan K8S Pro S2882-D) would be able to take two dual core AMD Opterons (such as the 285's) at the same time, or does it become limited to one dual core cpu at a time?
Cheers, and thank you :)

Hi,
Just wondering about the onboard audio chipset for the MSI MSI RS482M4-ILD. I am upgrading a family members' PC from an older socket 462 ABIT KT7 (non raid), which had a SoundBlaster Live 5.1 PCI sound card in it.
Will the Realtek ALC880 outperform the SoundBlaster Live 5.1 card...
Thank you for the input everyone :)

Thank you. The Fractal case is a much bigger case than I am used to, but the 10 HDD capacity will be beneficial down the road.
Now the only thing I am wondering is if I should upgrade to NASLite-M2 x64 that will takes use of the Dual CPU's.
On a side note, I noticed that the Tyan...

Thank you for your assistance and time. I decided to go with the Fractal Design Define XL Titanium E-ATX PC Case as it has sound dampening material throughout (and I like super quiet) and is rated highly for a quiet PC Case.

- Two AMD Opteron 200 cpu's (dual cpu motherboard, not dual core)

My Dell 600m died after a few years finally. It looks as though the motherboard went, as I tested everything possible, even a new AC adapter.
I have a lot of info on the hard drive which I pulled out and popped into a mini usb hd caddy. Now with my new system I can see the drive, and open it...
