I am buying these from a B&M - best buy ;) They just don't want to try it out before I bring it home. Ah well, their loss.

Stuck Pixels - a fact of life?

This is unbelievable... 3rd Acer 2216, and YET ANOTHER PROBLEM. Again, on the LCDresource.com homepage, the entire left side of the page flickers (the panel flickers). It only seems to happen on this website, but NONE of my other monitors does this, and I have fiddled with all the settings...

Stuck Pixels - a fact of life?

Well, I've got a week old Acer 2216WBD (second unit, after an exchange) - with a couple stuck pixels (green) that appear on certain colours - they come on and off, but you can sometimes see them at boot up, or on the right coloured background. Now, my question: is this something you live with...

Haha - I can't believe this. Boot up the computer today, and blam - 4 stuck pixels spread out accross the top of the monitor (Acer 2216WBD). I have to say, I'm extremely disappointed - 2 bad panels in a row? Looks like I'll be going somewhere else than Acer henceforth... maybe back to LG. The...

Well - upon some last minute fiddling around with my video card settings, I got the bars to go away - I found that the contrast was too high. It now looks beautiful, and I definitely won't be returning the monitor. Thankfully - cause I was getting tired of the sight of futureshop/Best Buy!

Its an Acer 2216... and yeah, it is completely down the right side - about two inches off the side. Looks like a line running right down the screen. Looks like it'll be going back (second one, best buy is gonna be pleased haha). Maybe I'll just find something else - not going to bring a third...

Well, I just thought I would post here to note that, after a few days of use, it appears my LCD has some banding (I believe?) Issues. When I look at the gradient test (colour gradients v.3), about two inches from the right side of the screen (as they get brighter) there is a completely uniform...

Yeah - I found the backlight bleed on my LG 204WT to be bad... worse than my current Acer 2216WBD... don't know if we were just the minority

No - flickered while it was sitting on the page ;) I picked up another Acer, and when comparing it to my LG204WT I decided that I would keep the acer. The larger screen ended up costing me 10 dollars more, and the picture was fine - to be honest. No dead pixels, no banding issues, great...

Will a PS3 be sufficient to play Blu Rays at 1080p?

Because HD-DVD, at least the players I have seen, are listed at 1080i (interlaced), vs. 1080p (progressive). I may have overlooked the recent ones, though.
