I bought a set of cold cathode lights, from a local store here in Southern California.
UV lights to light up the yellow parts of my EVGA mobo :D and man they looked sweet.
36 hours later, (my computer had been on the whole time) I'm sitting at my desk playin guild wars (I know I know, right...
I had a bad one, Cross Shipped and recieved a new one...works volt modded @1.4v and 2.2 for about 80days now just perfectly. However I can fry an egg on my voltage regulators >.> prior to heatsinking it.. (only recently heatsinked it)
the card is hit or miss reguarding the voltage regulators...
ha well my style is more east coast than west coast sounding so u might like my album when its done..but i live in so cal so i go with the hometown =P
anyway u listen to that stuff? tell me what u think =P
Me and some friends have started a record label here in southern cali.
Since I visit this forum so much thought I'd drop a note about it in off topic.
Most of the stuff released now is rap/hip hop but if you like that sort of thing...or atleast would check it out and see.. I'd appreciate...
Hehe, my stock X-2 heatsink/fan was ridiculously argumentative...as in.. it just would not not not snap into place... i struggled for 20 minutes with it and almost broke my whole damn mobo.
then i prayed...i said "Yo jesus, can you speak with your dad and ask him to go easy on me with...
lol though I dont understand much of your logic... that card should be fine at stock settings for 95% of what you will do with it. DX10 cards will be out in about 8 months? then they will need 6 months to mature... (recalls FX series) So odds are your fine for a good while. enjoy your card.
see told ya!
edit: you shouldnt expect a 20% gain by OCing your card. mine went from 9000-11000 but I volt modded the card and overclocked it literally a hundred+ mhz on the core and several literal hundreds on the memory. (stock is 450mhz... mine came factory overclocked at 550mhz.. now...
I own a tsunami. I love it. Looks awesome, lots of room in there for expansion. easy drive installment. easy to work in.
looks really awesome :D...+++++
needs fan filters.
not a lan party type case.
if you are using a huge heatsink/fan on the cpu you will have to remove it to switch power...
Radeon9800pro is notorious for crapping out after 3 years in that way. I would contact the manufacturer and try to get a replacement shipped to you for free. Otherwise...consider stepping up to something new....though the AGP market kind of makes that a crummy price/performance gain. You can...
Sometimes my x-2 idles at 35 on warm days..and can hit 54C ... (this is with my room 85F+ and overclocked only 1.4v and 2.4ghz) I use an AC Freezer 64Pro. Most of the time it sits at 29 and gets up to 45. If I were you, I would just go as high as I can on 1.4V for coolness sake in the summer...
its cpu limited. try compairing 3dmark05 scores. My 9800pro scored about 2300 3dmark05 (system overall just sucked and I think the power supply was bageling its results <.<) my 7900gt is getting over 11000 (overclocked and volt modded but completly cool and stable) and your x1800xt should be...
