For those of you that don't need a laptop/notebook for school or work, why do you have one?

I ordered a Asus Z70v refresh w/ Pentium M 2ghz, 1gb ram, 80gb HD, ATI x700. I dont work and im in High school so i dont need it for school, I have a desktop too, why did I get a laptop? Because I travel A LOT, every 2 months im on the road. But its also a great portable mp3 player/pr0n...

You wont play anything graphic intense like hl2 on a unltra portable...

fbrdphreak, where do you get prices of the Acers? I dont like the Acer website...lol 64mb card, no way...128 would be good :D

I need a laptop and im really confused!!! hehe Okay, it needs to have a decent Video Card like a x700 or something, i wont play LOTS of games, but i want to play enough. Needs to be portable, so not a 17` like the 9300. Maybe an Acer or something. Think/light would be great too $1300...

Okay, here is what I will do. The TV Tuner Dell is trying to sell is a external one and they make you buy the Media center with it. SO basically the TV tuner comes up to $300. So I will buy a TV tuner on newegg. SOOOO if i dont get the TV tuner with dell i have no obligation to get 512mb of ram...

Okay, the only problem the ram is giving me is...I would just buy 256mb then take that out and put in some ram from newegg, but they wont sell me the TV tuner with 256mb, they want me to get 512mb with the tuner. But 512mb akes 2 slots so after replacing them with newegg ram i would be stuck...

The only dumb thing is, that i cant get the microsoft® Windows® XP Media Center Edition 2005 with only 256mb ram and if i dont get that, i cant have the TV tuner. I guess i will get the 512mb for $50 and add another 1gb from newegg and have 1512mb
