Random issues with an nf2 system

Usb printer, PCI add-in sound card, and pci add-in nic. If I replace it, I will upgrade to something like an X2 system. Think a repair install might help?

I built my Mom a computer using some parts left over from a system of mine. It is an Athlon XP 1800+ on an Epox 8RDA nforce2 motherboard. Lately, she has been having issues where it seems only 2 out of three things work at one time; those being sound, printer, and lan. She says they will not...

Do I need F6 disk for non-raid, sata install on DS3?

Thanks for the replies. It doesn't seem to be working for me, even the bios doesn't see either of my sata drives. Been fiddleing with the settings to no avail. The board is also reporting a cpu speed of 533mhz. I am going to through the Vista64 beta on it, and see if I can get the bios updater...

The manual is a little confusing, it doesn't seem that I will need the floppy disk, just set the IDE/SATA to IDE instead of Raid, or ACH(something..). It sounds to me like XP should recognize the drive. Any experience with this board and using a single SATA boot drive? Thanks in advance.

Gigabyte K8NSC-939 memory issue

I just put together a K8NSC-939 board with an X2 4400+ and 4x 512mb PQI dimms. With all four dimms in, or with slot 1 and 2 populated, I get one long beep, and no post. With slots 1 and 3 populated, it will post, but then I get the message "Memory not optimized", and it says to check the manual...

Two sound cards in one machine?

I think it depends on the sound card(s). I have an Audigy, and an M-Audio card that do not play nice together.

What is the best Audio Card for Performance and Quality in Gaming/Windows?

I gave up trying to use my Audigy MP3 card, too many lock-ups and other crap with it. That, and bloated driver packages will keep me away (yeah, I know you can do a "driver only" install, but it still takes forever. I alternate between an M-Audio Audiophile 24/96, and built-in AC97 or whatever...

Replacement setup CD for a K8N-e

Thanks for the replies, and for the link mechBgon. I didn't realize the bios update tool was what I needed. I was looking for mylogo.xxx (.zip, .exe,...something).

I just bought a refurbished K8N-e board from newegg, and as expected, it had only the board in the box. No biggie, I had downloaded all the files listed for the board from the Asus website, and the system seems to be running fine. However, I would like to find a way to either order, or download...

Cyrix P 150+ (133 mhz?) Pentium 200 (OC'd to 212mhz...lol) Celeron 400 Celeron 500 Athlon 1.0 ghz Athlon 1.2 ghz Athlon XP 1800+ P4c 2.4ghz Been eyeballing an upgrade for a while. Can't decide is an A64 3200+ or so would be a significant upgrade.

Internet Explorer question

Is there a setting somewhere to force IE to open in full screen (not the full screen where most of the toolbar is gone, just maximized)? I have looked in several places, and all I find is references to full screen with a minimal tool bar.
