  1. Weekly DC Stats - 05MAR2023

Heya, Sorry for the delay in getting my systems Folding. Been extremely stressed & busy already this year. 3x RTX 3060 12GBs power tuned at 1450 MHz, 750mV, ~80W currently doing FAH 24/7 for about a week or so, will have a fourth 3060 12GB going up today, for a total of 4, 90% 24/7, switching...
  2. Discussion Hello again!

I disappeared for a while due to reasons, including, mainly, financial issues. Anyway, I think I may return and help out with some of that crunching that needs doing. My system(s) have changed a lot, but with the new hardware being released I'm really excited to return to at least some form of...
  3. Announcement Hospital for surgery starting Nov 9th

Hey Mark, just wanted to say, I wish you the best, and hope everything goes smoothly and you recover perfectly! Positive mental attitude is huge for overcoming physical illness, so stay positive <3 I've just started coming back to WCG/FAH for the TeAm literally today and I logged in to say I was...
  4. Weekly DC Stats - 18JUL2021

Hi guys, I am tentatively back to WCG now. I can't commit to FAH just yet, or if I do in the near future it's going to be with heavy power limits. Sorry to let you down :( I am aiming for 1000 results/day on WCG now for the team so hopefully I will help out Warm regards, Ash
  5. Weekly DC Stats - 18JUL2021

Guys I'm really sorry but I gotta stop computing effective immediately, my circumstances changed drastically. It's probably gonna be several months before I can think about running the hardware again, sorry best regards, Ash
  6. Weekly DC Stats - 18JUL2021

Those are tantalum capacitors I think, they are very heat sensitive, how much power was the 2970WX using? This could be a component failure causing incredibly high resistance and thermal runaway.
  7. Weekly DC Stats - 18JUL2021

Seeing over 8M PPD on some WUs, lows of around 3-4M and some in between. Here is one of the best WUs for the 3090 in terms of output Interesting as memory controller utilisation (afaik this is a metric of how many memory requests the IMC is tracking in flight, not specifically bandwidth use...

thanks! I Joined Also, yes I think he would be okay with it being available, I will ask him and get back to you!
  9. Weekly DC Stats - 18JUL2021

Sorry for the drop in output. Had a huge switch up in hardware, had to sell a bunch of processors to pay some hardware changes. My monthly budget for power remains the same though, so I've increased the clock speeds on existing CPUs to attempt to offset the reduction in cores. D: 48x Zen2 + 16...

  11. Weekly DC Stats - 04JUL2021

This always catches me when I realise Americans use Fahrenheit instead of Celsius for weather temperature. I live in the UK and had one day of 27C but now it's like 15-20 ambient so I guess I am lucky. A couple weeks ago I swear I managed to snag credit/week first place for WCG, or am...
  12. Weekly DC Stats - 23MAY2021

Yay! I feel like I am helping  Uhh... I can neither confirm nor deny it might have had something to do with the possibility that I may or may not have recently bought a Ryzen 9 5950X for WCG. <_<"
  13. Question Zen local/ far (CCX) L3 Cache miss lookup policy question.

Hello. I just have a quick question to ask to any people knowledgeable on this subject. I would ideally like to ask Dr. Ian Cutress himself too, but I am sure he is very busy. I have made a picture that summarises my question quite effectively, but I will type it here. Zen architecture from...
  14. Weekly DC Stats - -28FEB2021

Hi everyone, thought I would check in with you. My WCG server farm is now nearing completion I just have to pick up another 3900X for a great bargain price and it will be done for now, at least until Zen3 is hitting my sweet price points ;) Always more SCIENCE! to be done! Still making use of...
  15. Speculation on the PPD in F@H of the new 3080 and 3090 Ampere cards ?

RTX 3080's core is configured similarly to RTX 2080 Ti, in that it has 68 SMs. The difference is the Ampere SM has twice the FP32 rate per clock, so instead of 64x FMAC ops per clock you get 128. That essentially means in pure FP32 compute (I assume F@H is pretty much that) it could...
