amd CCC 14.4 beta's gone live

I don't think so, or at least they still have issues with the SATA drivers and sleep. I have 2 hard drives, and the 2nd drive doesn't wake up from sleep. I just tested this out with the 14.4 drivers, and the problem is still there. However, it is easy enough to do a custom install, skip the SATA...

Based on my very recent experience, it's the driver install that gets you. I followed the recommended steps, uninstalled everything and installed the complete driver package. Beta driver. End result, after going to sleep, my second hard drive would not wake up. A system restore resolved the...

Some frames, from a super driver? But, I would take it, especially for free. Although, "some frames from Mantle, at no cost" was picked apart fairly harshly. Nothing is for free, only for GCN cards, and only a few frames is not worth the effort. But again, this is good for NVidia card owners...

Like anything... I suppose it depends. His demo may have been small, and he knows the code pretty well, but I think Johan quoted a similar amount of time, and I doubt the Frostbite 3 engine is trivial.
