Question about laptop backpacks

Am I the only one that thinks the Ipod sucks?

I have had 2 ipods. First one broke from just basic use (not dropped, not beat on, just used like it should be). It flat out just died. The second ipod was given to me because it was broken, partially anyway. I can only use about 4GB of the 15GB before the thing crashes and the battery lasts...

Decimal to binary conversion question

Example: Convert 0.8 to Binary 0.8 <--- x 2 ----- 1.6 x 2 ----- 1.2 x 2 ----- 0.4 x 2 ----- 0.8 <--- 0.8 base 10 is equivalent to 1100 base 2 Perhaps not the best way, but very simple to follow. Sorry for the crummy formatting. Forum formatting won't let me use more...

Any of you guys use Winamp?

In iTunes can you change the default output data format and output method? All my music is uncompressed wav and I like to listen to it unbutchered (bit perfect playback). When you have a nice audio system you can really tell the difference.

3 U.S. film studios to release 89 films on HD DVD in late 2005

Like 2 years ago? Like where the hell have you been? It came out in 1997. Hardly like 2 years ago. The quality of DVD sucks. The resolution of DVD is only 720x480. Perhaps you still run your monitor at 640x480 because you can still see the screen. I would rather have blu-ray...

quick review of the IBM Thinkpad R40

I also payed ~$4000 for thinkpad 600 in 1998 (more like $4500). I compared to current models before getting my dell 8600 and the Dell was very impressive. The thinkpads were not even close to considering for the price (I was looking at T40P and R50P). Chris

So I got the new Comcast HD DVR box today

Agreed, but I am just saying that you don't have to pay $1000 for the HD Tivo. Also, everyone I have talked to that has both cable and DirecTV (yes, some people actually do) the Tivo interface and useability is far better then anything else currently offered. The Voom option sounds...
