Need a little help installing an ISA modem (IRQ problem)

If you are using Win98 (dunno about others) you can go to Start - Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Info and find out what IRQ's are in use and available. You will probably end up using IRQ 3 or 4 for the modem and possibly sharing.

HOT to me: Olympus C-2020z digital camera 499

Cheapest on the net is 617 for an amazingly powerful little camera. Circuit City is selling the camera for 499 until the 23rd. In the store even;) Great for anyone considering a better digital camera.

Rampage, the new looooser...

This post does bring up an interesting thought. Occasionally people from many different companies post on this and other boards over the net. Seen posts from Intel employees, AMD, 3dfx, Matrox, ABIT, gaming companies, etc. but I can't remember a post from an nvidia employee on any boards...

Well I don't believe you would be happy with a $200 telescope except for maybe an Orion ShortTube 80mm for quick viewing. It will be good for up to around 100x magnification and you will see fuzzy stuff, rings on Saturn, features on the moon, the GRS of Jupiter (in good seeing), open clusters...

Sprint Wireless Broadband - Anyone Try It, Comments Please

Mine is just a local service at 50/mo static IP unlimited. Sprint started in Arizona I believe. The important thing is 80211.b standard. That way there is no modem up. Straight wireless. To get DSL that hits 970 up and down with a static IP around here would be twice what I pay. I can't...

Radeon, Ge-force 2 gts, or V5?

Actually with the newer drivers and hacks out there the V5 is much more favorable in comparison then it was when the reviews were made. I still wont get one though as I'm sitting out this round and living with my V3.

Satellite internet... ?

Well wireless is available in Idaho;) A few local ISP's offer it in this huge town of 40k. The one I have uses Lucent Wavelan stuff and another I know uses Cisco Aironet stuff. Both are very quick. Possible your hicksville has one as well?

Green Monitor, WTF????

Same exact thing happened to me. After a hint from this forum I double-checked my cable to my monitor and low and behold the connector was a tad loose on the back of the monitor. Tighened it up and voila! No more jade green screen. Hope this works for you as well.
