YACT: Steering column vibrates excessively when idling

I'm guessing your have the 4-cylinder engine? The 4-cylinder Camry's of that time were notorious for vibration while idling.

Regenerative braking in hybrids does something similar. Pads and rotors will always be much cheaper.

Laptop (and other switching power supplies) rectify the input anyways so the quality of the output of an inverter is a non-issue.

I would be careful, a lot of manuals for inverters say not to connect them to anything that produces heat (stoves, toasters, ovens, etc), don't know if this applies to fusers. If you do end up connecting the inverter to the battery, which you'll probably will, make sure there is some kind of...

air conditioning

Arid and hot places like Arizona aren't that bad, really. While it's 90F to over 100 in the summer, the humidity is ultra low, like 10% or less. Your sweat evaporates almost instantly, removing your body heat with it.

Wonky HD Problem

Data recovery programs won't work if the controller on the drive is damaged. Like ForumMaster suggested, you can swap drive controllers if you are able to obtain a drive of the same model and physical drive characteristics.
