Who doesn't drink?

I have Roxio Platimum I believe ver 5 and a 16x10x40 Liteon burner. Prob is when I try to burn downloaded CDs it sometimes get thru the test and sometimes not. Doesn't always necesarily stick at the same song but sometimes if I remove the song it sticks on the CD will burn. Sometimes if I just...

budget video cards

8500 LE is easily overclocked to Retail speeds and is very reasonable............course who knows how it'll do with Doom 3. Sure as hell does well with UT cranked to the max:D!!

Which video card do i want?

Yup, definately an AIW by ATI, just a question as ta 7500, 8500, or 9700, course unless ya got money ta burn ya might wanna pass on the 9700, especially since ya ain't into gaming:)!

ive decided to get a radeon 9700pro

Well it's certainly built by ATI and it has been my experience that OEM comes in a plain white box and an anti static bag, but I could be wrong. The box looks identical to the one my Retail 8500 came in, apart from the 9700 stuff of course LOL:D!

LCD for gaming. good or bad?

Bottom line is, from what I've read, is that the only reason to have a LCD is if you want to save space and weight, well Ok they look cool too LOL:)! If you have room you are better off with a CRT. You get more viewable area for far less money and better performance especially under gaming...

Windows XP and Creative Nomad Jukebox 6GB

OK, damned if I know anybody will ever read this but on the off chance they do I'll answer my own question. When I bought the Nomad I didn't get a driver Cd so just downloaded Player 3 and Notmad off the net. Well that was all well and good but since I didn't have the actual CD I did not install...
