Unwanted mouse acceleration in UT?

/me plays ut too much Most people b-tching about mouse problems in ut is either when they switch to 2k/xp.. for some reason the mouse feels different... I don't know what it is but you get used to it. People checking "enhance mouse precision" in windows... migh tonly be microsoft mice tho...

Who's gonna spend $50 on a fan and not see any specs on it even? The pdf for the fan has a graph of the airflow at whatever pressures... a panaflo la1 is 24cfm with no pressure right? the graph shows the fan spinning at 3500rpm? it says it moves 36m^3/h of air. 36m^3 = 1271feet^3/hour and...

okay ogl owns d3d in ut, it feels waaaaay faster... didn't pay attention to my framerate but i wasn't feeling any slowdowns at all really. that pretty much solves all my problems thx :)

Voodoo 3 > GF4 4600

using d3d, winxp, no vsync problem... set at 85hz if i look at a wall it'll get up to 100 or so but wiht any people running on teh screen it drops to 60s I only have a 1ghz tbird, I'm guessin thats the problem if anything, v3 was probably faster cause of glide... probably has less...

Voodoo 3 > GF4 4600

GAH! Got my new pny4600... runs ut @ 800x600x32 at 65fps! w000t! Only got ~80-100 with my v3 depending on the map. GO $350! Tho it does run at 335/740, and does q3@ 1600x1200x32 with 4xaa and 45fps, but it can't keep up with ut :P ut2k3 demo better come out soon >:| noobs are beating me...

Positive or negative pressure in your case?

not only for cleaning, dust caked on a heatsink doesn't help cooling

Quieting the PSU

The only problem with the cudaIV is it doesn't like to be raided. I think its something like if you have 2 cudaIVs on the same channel it just goes really slow. You get no speed improvement or something i forget. But if you don't use raid, theres nothing wrong wtih the cudaIV

Quieting the PSU

Even tho the fans in the powersupply are not that loud, air moving though the powersupply makes more noise than the fan sorta. My case right now is 3 panaflo la1s 7ved (2 out 1 in), a 12v la1 on my pal8045, and a 12v la1 in an antec pp412x ps, and a 80gig cudaIV Wheres the most noise come...

"inexpensive" cases

No case is fine, I ran my compute ron a piece of cardboard under my desk for 6 months ;) Just make sure you have an okay powersupply hehe Anyways, $100 gets you a nice case, imo antec cases would go under the nice catagory, $50 is decent, <$50 is cutting costs.Over $100 is 99% looks. I'd look...

Well even is optimal, but blah to that.... pos vs neg.... i pick pos why? Because with negative pressure, every tiny crack there is in yuoru case, air is sucked in.... ie between cdrom drives and crap like that.... why is that bad?!?! DUST. You end up wiht dust in all these little damn...
