Thanks zebrax, it makes sense. I have disabled apps I won't be using, and each time I got a dialog box asking me if I want to revert to factory configuration. Doing this has allowed me to reclaim about 500 GB. Of course, there are some apps I want to keep updated. I guess those bargain-basement...

Questions about of upgrading from Win 7 Home to Pro

Thanks lehtv for your advice. As I mentionned in my OP, it's not a gaming build. If it was, I would agree with you. My interest in "Bronze" vs "Plus" ratings is more related to build quality, reliability and durability than efficiency. I assume there are certain components that are "better"...
