yes. they make several things that would allow you to do this, first you could get a NAS (network attatched storage) hard drive, like this: http://www.officedepot.com/ddSKU.do?level=SK&id=278144&&An=text or you could get an adapter to make an existing external hard drive network usable...

I received free MAXELL DVD-R discs from a friend.

You've never heard of Maxell? I'd say they're one of the more common brands of disc's available ... especially through retail stores. Maxell, Memorex, Verbatim, etc... all come to mind as commonly available

office depot carries what you're looking for, can't remember the name brand, but look near camera memory, or just ask ... 4 diff models, one for SD, one for CF, one for MS, one for XD. $9.99 each

Decent PDA w/ wifi needed

Look at the new Palm T|X just came out recently, its quite nice, has real Wi-Fi and bluetooth, full color, documents to go, picture/media viewer, and only $299 of course there's also the lifedrive, for around $500 main advantage being it's 4GB hard drive.

Has anyone used a Samsung ML-2010 laser printer?

A friend of mine bought one because after rebates and discounts he was able to get it cheaper than buying a new toner for his older samsung. so far no complaints, seems to work fine.

Are gold plated printer (or any) cables worth the extra money?

if you look at the packaging closely, (at least the old style package--i know belkin recently changed styles) the gold cables actually state that the cable meets the current High-Speed USB standards, i'm pretty sure the non-gold cables do not contain this exact wording. that being said, i'm...
