These are tactics to bring doubt to peoples minds so not to buy AMD. Very good PR. I'll wait for the real benchmarks and see what to buy next year.

Question Ryzen 3600X keeps boosting at idle

I've a 3600X also but no problems whatsoever. Temp is always between 32-38C so no problem. The power draw (measured at the wall)when idle is about 35W. Fan is set at "silent" in bios and it truly is very quiet.

Thanx for the replies, I'll go for the 1050 since the AMD cards are a bit too power hungry. I wanted to exchange my 2400G for the 3400G but the speed difference is almost non existent. Will buy a 3600 now as CPU part.

Work laptop - thought I wanted Lenovo W540, turns out they're lame. Alternatives?

Microsoft Scraps Windows 8 Major Updates. Bets The Farm On Windows 9

All the laptops I deliver/sell are reinstalled with a fresh 8.1update(8.1.1). Biggest difference is the small footprint of Windows 8.1.1. Besides its a truly fast OS with a SSD in laptops. 8.1.1 is just a great OS BTW, never looked back at 7 again.
