It was a great deal at $99, even better now. If you set the pager to turn off at night, one battery will last about a month with moderate paging, less with more the pages received. The batteries are hearing-aid batteries which come in a 4-pack for around $6, but I'm sure someone can find them...

Smokin! DLINK DWL-500 (802.11b PCI Adapter + PCMCIA) $39.99

At the microcenter I went to they were out of DWL-500, so they were substituting DWL-520 (integrated PCI wireless card - not removable PCMCIA). Since I was getting it for a desktop, I didn't mind. Installing it in XP Home was a pain since the XP driver wasn't to be found on the CD that came...

Hot or not? JVC GR-DPV3U for 600 bucks

I think this is a pretty good price. It's comparable to the going rate for a used one on e---Bay. There are better MiniDV camcorder deals to be had, but not on something this size. This is one of the smallest MiniDV camcorders available, it's about the size of a digital camera.

Geeks Only! Binary Clock $20 @ exploratorium.

I think this matrix binary watch is way cooler. It's bigger and less functional than your average watch, but the geek factor is much higher. Btw, I ordered from them and had no problems. See it in action
